Doctors are required to tell you your diagnosis. It's their job. If you see a new physician it is especially important that he/she disclose your diagnosis to you. If the doctor you have been seeing for a long time tells you what you already know, he/she is doing that because you're being evaluated, and he/she has to tell you how you are doing. If your doctor put you on a weight loss program then he/she has to talk with you about your progress (or lackthereof) because it's part of the physical assessment, part of the medical history he/she takes. That sh*t gets charted and becomes part of your medical record, which is also a legal document. They are protecting themselves from possible malpractice lawsuits and they are protecting you from falling through the cracks- they are providing you with continuity of care. For instance, if your doc put you on a weight loss program and you followed it to the letter and you are still not losing weight, then that doctor needs to figure out WHY that is because that's not normal. And if he/she DOESN'T do that, then he/she is responsible for what happens to you as a result of their negligence. They are also responsible for providing patient teaching, which is everything from how to reduce risk factors for all sorts of sh*t, how to take prescribed medications and side effects you can expect to how to care for a post op incsion. They HAVE to tell you this stuff, if they don't they can be sued all to hell and gone. Even if you already know all that sh*t, they have to tell you. I doubt your doctor was trying to annoy you.

I don't like it when they make their patients wait for so long.
Like last time, I went with my friend to the hospital because she had a shortness of breath.
They kicked us out of the emergency department, and told us to go to a specialist lol.
We had to wait for the doctor, because he was missing,
I don't know maybe he was having a break.
Seriously, we went to the hospital at 12:00PM, and got out at 5:30PM. >_<"
But I think you made a big issue out of it,
doctors have to repeat these things if you are overweight or underweight
to keep remind you of the main problem, and clear their responsibility.
They have to do it. You just have to inform them that you are on a diet program
or something like that.
I hate when Doctors don't really give a f***, do whatever they have to do to get their kickbacks from drug companies, schedule follow up visits that you don't need, and just generally do whatever they can to get deeper and deeper into your wallet.
When my sister was pregnant, she automatically qualified for state assisted medical in Oregon. After the birth, Dr gave her an MRI, and said all your back pain is from nerve damage and torn muscles. State would only pay for pharmaceudial narcotics, not physical therapy...Yea, because pain pills actually fix things, psh! The government/Dr's wants you to think they care. They do care...about money. Dr's are nothing but drug dealers
Sry, slightly off topic...Guess it must have struck a nerve ;)
Or makes other people wonder why you're complaining about a doctor telling you that you're too heavy after previously recommending that you go on a weight loss program. Doctors don't tell you things just for the hell of it.
Seems like you're getting upset because a doctor said you should lose weight, and you tuned out for what he/she said after that. Again, doctors don't talk for their own health- they tell you WHAT you have wrong, and then WHY it's bad for you.

Last Thanksgiving, I got mysteriously ill and lost 10 pounds in a week from not eating. Even after I got my appetite back, I still got nauseous very easily and was eating less than half of what I used to. In January, I finally asked my doctor why I was so nauseated.
During my checkup, my doctor seemed convinced I was having pain. Asking things like "So what kinds of foods cause you to have stomach pain?" and "Where is the pain located?" I had to correct her several times: I'm not in pain, I'm just nauseous.
Every subsequent visit after that, including all the tests I had done on my stomach, was filled with people asking me about my stomach pain. I was just thinking, omg I'm so done.i hate having to pay health insurance...
oh wait IM BRITISH AND ITS FREE
but yeh I hate it when doctors assume that I'm stupid. This has never happened to me, but I imagine I would be really irritated if they didn't do some sort of differential diagnosis.
My doctor has a huge dog in his ordination. And this dog smells like a pile of sh*t...It's such a strong smell, the doctor HAS to notice it, so why doesn't he wash the dog?
When a doctor fails at their job
and refuse to admit ^.~I hate it when the Doctor walks in looks you over and doesn’t talk any more than to tell you how to breath when they are checking you over
When he stuck his finger up my butt.
