Would you admit your feelings for someone even if you know it won't work?

Guys, would you tell someone that you care about her even if you know that you won't actually ever get involved with each other? Or would you admit your feelings only if you think that there's a possibility of working out things between you?

Not sure if you were looking just for guys' answers, but here is my take on it. Normally, I would not express my feelings to someone unless I had at least the smallest bit of hope that it might work out or that they might feel the same way. BUT, that being said, I HAVE expressed having feelings to guys whom I knew did not feel the same. Why? Because sometimes that lifts a burden off your chest. If you keep liking someone and you do not hear a clear, concise rejection, sometimes it is very hard to get over them, because you keep daydreaming and hoping and thinking MAYBE just MAYBE it will somehow work out and they will change their mind. So sometimes expressing feelings to someone even if you know they don't feel the same helps you - this way you hear them actually say "no," and you no longer have to have doubts or hopes in your mind - you can start moving on and finding someone who will love you back. Being rejected sucks, but it would suck even more to spend so much time and energy on something that will never happen and maybe miss out on someone else that is perfect for you. So, if you feel you are in such situation, where you are longing for someone but you are sure they don't feel the same - maybe you should tell them and that way get over it and move on :) Hope this helps!
