Why do guys use women?

so me and this guy met a while back and he found me on a social network I usually don't accept strangers but I accepted him so we started talking and we started going on dates hanging out. It seems as if we had a connection every time we spent was perfect but he would get upset if I was not able to see him therefore I would have to tell him ahead of time ..he even presented me to his family in which I thought was too soon anyhow I went to see him but I commited a mistake by sleeping with him to soon for a minute I thought okay let's just see what happens he still kept in contact and wanted to see me and the next day he called and insisted to go out but I knew he had plans so I told him whenever he had the chance to contact me but since then everything change and he always stated how women would do harsh things to him but I would have done anything to prove him wrong ..I didn't want to give up on something but once I confronted him about it he said the original like it just won't last so I put OK understood I just don't understand why try to waste time and get to know someone when at the end it had no point ? so my question is why do men enjoy this ?

1 - Men do this because they objectify women, chances are growing up he wasn't raised right to respect girls, and he let his penis get the better of his morals in the end.

2 - This guy may be a scumbag, but you let him in willingly. You have no one else to blame but yourself. It's best you learn how to discern the integrity of a person before you let them into your bed. The world has plenty of good liars, but honing your skills and interpreting them is an essential part of being in this world.

3 - Just so we're clear, women do this too, or an equivalent of it, they're called gold diggers, and I am equally as harsh with my advice to gullible men as I am being with you right now.

My guess is he's actually covering for his bruised ego. It's almost always easier to play it off as "just another fling" than to admit personal failure and disappointment. I don't think people using other people invite them to meet their families.

I agree but I didn't give up on him and even afterward I tried fixing things even willing to go see him and talk face to face but sometimes a person can do so much.. I wish things wouldn't have ended in bad terms but sometimes you don't realize what you have till it's really gone.

There are many reasons people use people. I agree with the answers below that its not just men who use women. There a plenty of manipulative and selfish people in this world that want what they want and they don't really care about how it will make others feel. We cannot know his reasons for his actions anymore than you. But you can talk to him about it and communicate your feelings to him. Continue to try if this is something you want to work but if its clearly not going to work because it won't do his part you need to move on and take this as a learning experience.
