Mix baking soda and lemon into a paste, brush with that, rinse, then take some hydrogen peroxide and hold that in your mouth for like a minute or two as long as you can stand, then rinse. You should be about one shade lighter.
Or you could buy yourself a tooth whitening kit and oh my lord do they work! I have a gel kit like this link I got mine off eBay though it's a different brand, but I put in the gel, leave it on for 30 minutes and I'm instantly 2 shades lighter at the least. I do these twice a year to keep a pearly white smile.
It might not be good for your teeth, but baking soda with peroxide and water whitens them for sure.
Lots of the product remedies are only temporary. It usually takes a dentist doing the whitening to have a lasting effect. Best advice is to avoid things that stain them in the first place. Coffee is the biggest one that immediately jumps to mind. Google it or ask your dentist for a list of other things.
