Humility is a very important virtue and it can actually help you get ahead in life.
1. Recognize Your Limitations And Accept them
Acknowledge the fact that you're a human being and you aren't perfect. A humble person sees their own weaknesses and can readily admit them. When we open up to others about ourselves, it can actual encourage and help them realize they're not the only ones who deal with things.
2. Don't be afraid to make mistakes
Perfectionism is the voice of the oppressor, the enemy of the people
- Anne Lamott
3. Admit your mistakes
Admitting you were wrong doesn't make you weak -- It Makes You Awesome! It takes tremendous fortitude to utter the words “I was wrong, and I am sorry”.
4. Avoid bragging
Be proud of your accomplishments but always stay grounded. You can never be the best at everything and it's ok. There's always room to learn, grow and improve at any age.
5. Stop Being Envious Of Other People
Usually, jealousy stems from a feeling of inferiority. You should focus your energy on improving yourself instead of comparing you to everyone else.Remember, the ultimate goal isn't to be better than anyone else, it's to be better than the person you used to be.it's nearly impossible to be humble when we're constantly striving to be better than others. Instead, try looking at yourself more. Being happy for other people’s achievements will yield better results than being resentful.
6. Compliment others
Challenge yourself to look at others and appreciate the things they can do and, more generally, to appreciate people for who they are.
