I see where you're coming from, because I too worked as a customer care representative a few years ago. Its very unfortunate. As customers, we pay for stuff and we expect them to work the way they're supposed to. When that doesn't happen, we're obviously pissed that instead of being able to put the product/service to use right away, we have to get the issue resolved first by contacting customer support. Often, several calls to customer care are required. But then again, its not the fault of customer service personnel if the product/service doesn't work as expected. Since customers don't have direct access to the people responsible for the failure of the product or service, they vent out their frustration on customer care people. I agree they could be more polite about this, but unfortunately it doesn't work that way. Due to this, the customer care representatives have to bear the brunt.

apple products are user-friendly but the users are not friendly :D I don't know it happens to everyone in the customer service department.
I've worked in two different stores and had much experience with rude customers. I think they either have had a bad day in general or maybe they're just impatient. No one likes rude customers, but don't worry about it too much :) It most likely has nothing to do with you. Try to be as nice as possible despite their attitude though.
Just imagine them naked with a penis drawn on their heads and keep smiling knowing that karma comes back around to bite them on the behind!!
I work on a cosmetics counter and get treated like an idiot everyday!
