I have been listening to all creepy
stories about deep web on YouTube. And instead of fearing me out, they have piqued my curiosity about it.
So share away your experiences of deep web/dark web
Note that it's not illegal to go on the dark web. I've never been on it myself as I don't have a need to but there are some legit purposes for it. That being said I just saw a story about how the FBI, CIA various local law enforcement, NSA among others are heavily monitoring "the dark web" and have shut down a lot of the more nefarious sites with child porn, drugs and even as mundane as copyrighted materials etc to the point where there have been many many successful prosecutions and shut downs. By the tone of the story the dark web sounds more like that slightly shady part of town that you'd just as soon not go to but not near as bad as what it's made out to be.
No because its illegal.. but i am curious to see whats on there.. but i've heard its very bad.
Me too! Not like I'm gonna buy anything there. Just curious if it's as bad as it is made out to be and what kind of stuff they have there exactly
Heard its stuff like drug dealers.. hit men.. child porn.. so probably not a nice place to be... but nothing wrong with being curious.. i doubt i'd be on it for long with stuff like that anything.. not my sort of world lol.
Yup. Although I think hitman thing might be a scam.
I have heard about red rooms too. But many say that they likely don't exist or exist in completely hidden pages
Think a lot of normal people would be surprised to what is actually out there and sometimes i think its better to remain ignorant :)
It's not illegal to browse.
@Surveillance From what i've heard it is illegal to even browse the deepweb :) but i'm not expert so maybe lol.
I've been on there before. It's filled with the kind of stuff that people wouldn't post on the internet. It's fairly private on there so when you go on the TOR network or any other like it, there's a lot of secret chat rooms and child porn for sale and hackers for hire. All sorts of scams like counterfeit currency that you can buy. Would probably never show up if you bought it.
But that is also the place that a lot of crime really does take place. Just happens in private chat rooms that you probably have to be told about in person.
Do you think the stories of exact address and other info if people being tracked down can happen?
A hacker is basically a problem solver or a puzzle solver. They use what's avaliable to them to figure out a solution to a problem. That's that technology IS.
These networks were made to mask the identity and position of the people using it. But that doesn't mean there won't be someone clever enough to figure out what's coming from where and who's doing what.
You hear a ton of stories and I'm sure plenty of them are true but when I hear them I think they're just stories.
I mean, the government (NSA) has been working on tracking down people over the TOR network so they can locate the source of child pornography, terrorist communication channels and I'm sure other stuff too.
So yea, it can happen. In fact there was this guy who lived up the street from a friend of mine who's house was raided. Turned out he was distributing the dark web's favorite kind of porn. I'd be willing to bet my arm he was doing it over the TOR network.
Yeah I have it's easy to access... Of course it's bad but you don't actually see the images straight away like in the normal web.. You get a onion url links.. Made up seemingly random numbers and letters... The description would say what kind of stuff is in that url
example
-buy fake passports
-child pornography
-hire a gun man to assassinate someone
-leaked government documents (wikileaks has been there long before it surfaced)
-all sort of stuff
It's a very large world with thriving community
Ever had any bad or creepy experience?
No I didn't dare to go to the horrific ones and I didn't communicate.. I just wanted to have a look, around like a tourist in a dark alley.. I only visited the site of fake passport selling.

I have used the 'deep' web before and still use it. "Marianas Web" or whatever it's called is made up and ridiculous, these creepy stories on youtube are all completely over dramatised for views/likes and subscribers. Although it is safe, there really is no use to going on it to explore as everything you need is right there on the surface web.
If you do decide to go on the deep web and are concerned or paranoid for whatever reason, keeping your window windowed and using a VPN should help. Although an attack on the deep web is almost as likely on the normal web anyway.
Something like hacking into computers immidiately and tracking their exact address... Can that happen on deep web?
Depends the address you're talking about, house address; no. IP address, yes it can happen but it is extremely likely as one, the hacker must be educated. Secondly, IP addresses are useless information, they are only ever used mischievously in scare tactics and to find an actual address through IP would require knowing the trillions and trillions of combinations linked with their towns, and even if a genius knew this it wouldn't find the exact location you are only the whereabouts and city or possibly street. The chances of your location being tracked maliciously is so inconceivably low.
extremely unlikely i mean oops
lol, this pic is plain stupid. all these wannabe hackers try to over-complicate things and try to act as god but are $hit. (BTW i am talking about pic, just random shit typed)
1. Dark web is nothing but the sites you can't google just it , nothing else
2. Never enjoyed it, it has nothing special about it, for example, You know you're not available to looked up by random people (aka Google) so you try to do something illegal (mostly) else what's the use of this secrecy?
I read that journalists from totalitarian states use it to communicate with outside world.
And is it possible for people there to track down a person's info? Like everything- exact address, phone number and such, like they showed it in YouTube stories?
kik is like deep web, your knowledge comes from YT?
I knew a bit about deep web. But YouTube has some scary stories about it. Experiences if users who were totally messed with. They are about dark web to be precise.
I usually spend my time at level 2 planning on going at level 3,
My younger brother who just began going to high school is at level 4 and we both are planning to infiltrate level 48 in this summer.
You have to be kidding me 😮😮
How was his experience there?
This thread is bound to be a geek magnet. Prepare for the swarm!
Ready for the geek influx, sir. 😎
i dowload games for free from a dark web site. but i usually stay away from onion sites or the one with no https:// the internet has lots of viruses and there are sites that might redirect you to a hacker's ip, even normal porn sites are dangerous.
i avoid this kind of stuff and i recommend you to do the same, go on youtube. oh, wait, youtube can be hacked as well...
I have and it's not dangerous unless you do anything fishy. But there all kinds of sketchy shit. There different sections where you can see and access illegal stuff. There are sites like an eBay for illegal drugs weapons etc. Child porn is also easily accessible. And notice why I'm answering anonymously lol.
Its filled with all sorts of databases of seemingly useless crap. Social networking sites, arms dealers, drug dealing sites, illegal libraries with DRM free books, hacking services. Also things that are too taboo for the regular web, and all sorts of taboo forums too.
It's pretty fucked up. I heard people say that when they surfed the deep web that they found child pornography and gory pictures. It's something i don't plan on looking into.
I never even tried it. I don't want to get on police lists.
A lot of it is drugs or buying id or bank details.
Unless you're after something it's pretty boring.
Never tried that. I will see may... beeee... or maybe not... Lol I dont know.
Nope and don't intend to.
nope. nothing more than level 2.
One more reason to procrastinate
that shit is too damn horror
what is it?
The sites which are not indexed by regular search engines and need proxy server or special browser. Google dark web or deep web for more info 😇
ok..
yea I have. once
What was it like?
Its for criminals and shady losers
