6 Things I Find Intensely Romantic

Hello ^^ this is myTake on "Things I find romantic". This is my first Take so I'm exited/nervous, let's start!

1. Engagement ring on a necklace

On the Phantom of the Opera, Christine wears her engagement ring around her neck. Normally I would complain about this because it's a ring. I however have this thing about wearing rings, I feel like it's either going to fall off or get stuck. So when I get engaged, I plan to tell my fiance that I think it's more romantic to wear it this way because I can keep it close to my heart <3

2. Letters

I personally love letters as well! Every time I get a letter in the mail it's like a little gift. Words are very important to me, it's a way to express yourself which is why I find lyrics so important in songs. For me, a hand written letter is meaningful and romantic. Plus it's way more exciting to receive a letter in the mail versus a text message on your phone. It really shows that someone cares. :*

3. Hugs

Hugs make you feel the warmth of the other person. When you hug someone, you realize that they ARE there for you. It's a nice calm way to show that you care. Just to breathe in and know that someones got you, is amazing. XOXO

4. When a guy cooks

For me if a guy were to cook or bake something for me I would have hearts in my eyes. If I met a guy that didn't like cooking but was good at it, and he was willing to cook for me because he knew that I'd like it, is very special <3 . I would also enjoy watching him lol

5. Dancing

And of course dancing. For me though, I think it's more romantic if you're out and about, then you hear a song and dance together. Versus going to a Prom and dancing, isn't as romantic. I personally love to dance all the time even around the house and at stores XD (mostly fast paced music :P ) but it would be nice to have a partner.

6. Singing

Speaking of music, I love it when people sing to me (unless it's "Happy Birthday"). I don't know why I love it so much. If you were to hold me in your arms and sing softly to me, everything would melt away and love would fill my heart. <3

AHH this made me happy because I'm such a romantic! My favorite romantic gesture to share with someone is definitely song, music just means so much to me, and I love playing the piano/guitar and singing with another.

Not much can compare to it for me!

The most romantic thing that I used to do was to write poems to her. And I was very good at them. In fact I was so good I would write it in English and Turkish, of which Turkish is a more romantic language too.

I kind of like it when little things are done for me - like the dishes after a meal. I'm very uncomfortable by schmaltzy cheesy grand gestures. I always think they're driven by a need to show off instead of real sentiment.

I think that when people call you strange, what they are really saying is "you're different". People call me strange too. They tell me there's no such thing as romance or true love, that's it's all a made up fairy tale. They tell me I should just give up. It's funny that you mentioned miracles, because to me, in this modern day especially, love is a miracle. It is a miracle that I find someone like you, who I can be my true self around ❤️
