Should I be worried he always has his phone face down?

I don't know why after months now that he does this. I don't know what could even be on his phone. He seems open with it in a way. It's just the always leaving it face down, no matter where he leaves it.

Is he hiding something?

He's protecting the screen from impact. I always set my phone face down. But then again I'm the one paying the cell phone bill. So I guess I'm the most conscious of what it costs to repair or replace a smartphone.

Not at all, if he was hiding something he'd leave it in his pocket and on vibrate. Then he could check his txts' in the bathroom. This sounds like a huge red flag on your part.

Nope i always put my phone face down and im not hiding anything. Its just habit. He could probably ask you why you always leave your phone face down. Wow, us girls read into things wayyy to much!

Its possible. My bf always puts his facedown and he isn't hiding anything if I wanted I could go through his phone anytime. Best bet is to just ask.
