Why am I crying over my crush?

So there is a guy I like and I'm pretty sure he likes me too. He always talks about me to my sister and one of my bestfriends. Always asking how I am. So we talk from time to time and I'm pretty sure he likes me back.
We've stayed at each others houses and cuddled and kissed. But nothing more. I want to find out if he wants anything from this before I we take anything further (as in anything sex related)
Anyway to the point. I cry over him sometimes for no reason. For instance, last night he stayed at my house and nothing went wrong. I took him home today. Now I'm sitting here crying over him for no reason.. I don't get why I feel upset. He's done nothing wrong.. Can anyone have any suggestions on why I could be feeling this way?

You wrote "I'm pretty sure he likes me back" maybe you are unsure if he really likes you as a whole or if he just wants to hook up and nothing more. I think that would be a reason to cry because as u said u have a crush on him so I think you want something serious.

Haha thanks for the comment. I've never felt the way I do towards him to anyone else before. I'm scared he will hurt me. I do need to find out because it's playing on my mind. I just don't want to ask in case I scare him away. I just don't get why he would make an effort and always talk about me if he just wants sex. Even though I haven't gave him that.

I cried over my crush, I would suggest telling him how you feel because constantly not knowing the answer will get to your head. You will overthink things and feel more sad that you don't know the answer.

Thank you for the comment. I wanted to wait for him to tell me, but he could be doing the same thing. It's just so frustrating because he's hard to read. I want to tell him eventually but I don't know if it's the right time.
