This is for the real ninjas out there.
A very attractive, older woman I sometimes briefly speak to in passing (I'm always friendly and so is she) recently called me "precious" because I offered to do her a small, no-big-deal favor. I probably subconsciously offered the favor because she is gorgeous and my inner wuss sometimes overpowers my generally confident appearance. After she called me precious, I had little visible reaction because I was rather baffled by her choice of words -- I kind of acted as if she'd said nothing and continued with the conversation.
When I saw her crossing the street later that day, I waved VERY slightly (literally just faced my palm in her direction) and smiled normally. Kind of a small test of mine, to see if she'd perhaps already noticed me. She made eye contact for less than a quarter second, appeared slightly distressed, then kept walking and looked straight ahead.
Obviously, I went back to what I was doing (talking to an elderly man), and this woman continued walking past me while talking to her friend (significantly less attractive woman).
Option A: She is interested in me, and was caught off guard by my eye contact. The shy/low self-esteem/confidence type. Called me precious because I am, and she wanted to make sure I was aware of her attraction to me.
Option B: She avoided eye contact because she didn't want to give off the impression that she is attracted to me. That she meant "precious" in the socially acceptable, normal way that you would refer to a cute little puppy. No level of attraction.
So gals (and guys... I guess...), what'll it be? Option A or B? Or have you thought of something else?
MUCH appreciated; this sort of confusion doesn't occur often. But eye contact alone FREQUENTLY gets me where I want to be with a woman (not just sex -- you know, conversation, friendship, dating, etc.). Thanks!
