Do you think that hair extensions are a waste of money? How can I go around this?

My mom thinks that hair extensions are a waste of money because I can just grow my hair out. But it will take at least 2 years for my hair to reach below my breasts. Right now my hair is at my shoulder blade and it was at neck length a year ago. I want it to be longer though, at least for my birthday and summer. My mother did tell me that I can buy it myself and apply it and take it out myself because she doesn't want any part in this. Hair extensions cost 100-200 dollars, I wanted to sell things for the money but I don't have enough.

It's not a waste of money if it makes you feel good. Use to wear weave which is basically the same thing until I turned to human hair wigs since its cheaper in the long run and easier to deal with in the morning.

100-200 I would think would be at least 100% human hair or a mix:human and synthetic, which should last a while if you know how to take care of it.

Human hair wigs are more expense at the very moment you buy them by they last much much longer to me. But not everyone is into that. I just think it's the better investment and they look soooo nice lolo. Plus if you don't feel like dealing with a bunch of hair will the time, you can just take it off.

I buy hair extensions that amount.

Get it , if you want it.
Then keep reusing them.
They are real which is y they are pricey.

Why not try the synthetic Clip ins which are cheap and a good alternative? If you're having a hard time affording something more expensive

I personally would never wear a hair extension because it makes me feel so fake. I am growing my hair out, hoping it'll reach up to my butt because i love long hair it's beautiful. But im not going to waste my money on extensions that are fake hair. guys like natural beauty, and fake or bright hair colors, fake boobs, fake lips, fake tans those things make a guy feel like you're not real or naturally beautiful or something.
I wouldn't get the extension.

I think if you can save up the money go for it! It's a good life lesson for you. After you'll either think your money was spent wisely or you'll think you wasted it, either way it's how we learn. ;)

Ha in hair extensions can damage your hair. If anything I would use clip in hair extensions (for your birthday) and wait for it to grow back out. Better let it grow I out

technically anything that isn't a necessity is a waste of money but i buy and wear extensions. you could get a wig if you can't afford it though

I personally think it is a waste and I too am growing out my hair. I say just deal with it.
