For those who may not know what a skin scarved tattoo is, it's a sort of tattoo that is not simply inked onto your skin, oh no, It is an actual carving INTO your skin. Leaving a nice scar of whatever design you had wanted.
it's become a bit of a trend I've noticed, I don't think it's that big yet (THANK GOD) but I'm also not one to pay attention to what the "cool" thing is.
Personally, I don't even like regular tattoos. I can see why others like them, it does look pretty awesome, and I don't mind others who have them, But I wouldn't get one because I'm just not the type of person whose willing to risk getting something put on my body forever that I might not even like anymore in a week. Thats just me though.
What I DON'T get, and can NOT stand, is people who go to a proffesional, to get a design carved into them, causing a scar, and A LOT of pain. I can understand if someone hurts themselves because of depression or whatever, I don't support, and it's horrible for the people that feel that way, but I understand it.
But THIS is done for FUN.
Question: Why on earth would someone do this to themselves?
It is something different. Scarification has actually been done for centuries, but the recent trend i feel appeals to someone who likes body modification, but doesn't want just a tattoo Or piercing. It is a new extream That is becoming more popular. To each their own. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it is pointless to someone else. You have a different viewpoint and i respect that, but it it is my body and i will do what i want to it regardless of other people's oppinion. As far the pain goes, some people can handle it, and others can't. The pain is part of the appeal of body modification to some people. It could be because they like the rush or it is somewhat therapeutic, or they like the end result enough to go through it. Every person is different, and their reasoning is different. Whatever works for Them i say go for it.
Aha I'd do it. Totally. I was even consider doing it before I knew it was a thing (thanks for telling me it is by the way). The only thing stopping me is fear of messing up...
mm-mm I don't think you should do it, bad idea, I saw a guy at the mall with a real one, it looked horrible, and my dad actually gave HIMSELF one when he was a teenager (stupid man, was trying to impress my mother) and he always regretted doing it
Haha for sure I never understood the appeal to it, but I am guessing some people just like inflecting pain my anatomy and physiology teacher told me when people cut themselves a neurotransmitter called endorphin's gets released and that gives them a relief. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endorphins
Lol yeah its weird, but there are certain ways you have to cut yourself its weird lol and I guess its cause you aren't looking forward to the cut like they are.
Actually, the first hole isn't bad at all, it's like a pinch, but the farther up the ear you go the more it hurts. I myself don't wear earrings, but my mom made me get the first holes when I was a baby, then had them re-put in (I had let the holes close) when I was 12
My sister has a lot of earrings, and she agrees that as you get to the bone of the ear is when it really begins to hurt
