When a girl in your class (college) gives you her number to study what does it mean?

so basically this chick added me on Facebook and she later asked me to study.. she gave me her number I never asked. I was just wondering what you girls thought? like what does it mean? does she simply want to study?

When I was an undergraduate I always did the whole "wanna study?" thing when I was interested in someone as more than a friend.

As a graduate (and I only did it once) I simply handed the man my number and flirtatiously said "call me" (this was like two weeks ago, btw!). He smiled and said he would (mmm he's fine!).

I would say that it's totally possible that this woman is being a little flirtatious. Then again, my best friend is very studious and very un-flirtatious and would definately be the type to ask a man to study and have no alterior motives. It totally depends on the person!

Yeah I see where you are coming from. she also added me on Facebook too first so I don't know maybe she does have a thing. I texted her a couple of days ago she did seem a little flirty but then the texts just stopped =/ I mean if she didn't want to talk to me she wouldn't have answered? what do you think?

I agree, if she did not want to talk she wouldn't have answered. How would you feel if she were flirting with you? Do you feel attracted to her? If you do then I think you're in good shape... she seems like she might like you too!

It's hard to tell until you actually go study with her.

She could just need someone to study with since it's time for finals. Or she could be using the studying as an excuse to get to know you better (I"ve done that before)

Oh the old wanna study with me trick, I used to use that trick on girls in college all the time, I found a cute girl asked her if she wanted to be my study partner and got her number, sometimes we would actually study but most of the time we didn't just went on dates or did other things besides study.

It could mean she thinks your smart and just wants to do well in the class, or it could mean she thinks your attractive and wants to get to know you better, so why not study with her, you don't have to just study, you can even find out if she has a boyfriend or not, and who knows maybe even get a date with her.
