Do you have Celtic feet? Is your second toe the longest? Is you foot narrow? Every member of my Irish family has long skinny toes and no middle foot with the second toe being the longest. My second toe is as long as my pinky and I have long fingers. In Ireland people have many toe types. But as a person raised in the U. S. I wear Berkinstocks so when I'm home in Ireland my toes sometimes come up.
I have reddish hair and get told I look French because of my face and eyes but have Irish feet so they know I'm akin to my Dad who is Irish. I do indeed have my Dad's feet but HOW do they know by my feet that I'm Irish?
Disclosure- I'm a distance runner and specialty running shoe shops always say they've never seen a foot like mine. Skinny, high arches and long toes. I have a consistent brand though that makes shoes that fot me.
I have square, shorter toes but I think feet look better when the second toes is slightly longer than the big toe.
Being a runner with your toes, your second toe is going to take more abuse as it absorbs most of the impact. A longer big toe usually absorbs most of the weight and pressure which is why it is sticker and sturdy.
It makes sense that having longer toes would be more beneficial for running as it would give your foot more contact time with the ground to accelerate and propel yourself forward.
I never thought about it, but having a higher arch and long toes may act as an extra shock absorber as the longer toes have more length to distribute your weight.
Celts aren't the only people with this foot. Certain Roman groups have it too but if you are pale and from Britain it's the Celts that have it more.
I hold an Irish passport but my toes convinced some friends more readily that I was Irish and not British. My father is a Catholic from Northern Ireland but I was raised in the U. S. mostly so it is always a point of discussion. I had to decide if I wanted to be British or Irish at a young age. I of course went republic.
Yes I do. My mom told me that the fist thing the Dr. Said to her when I was born was, "You have a tiny little girl (I was born almost two months premature), with very long fingers and very long toes.." Lol.
The Roman foot also has a longer second toe but the rest of the foot tends to be wider than that of a Celt foot. It is my high aches and lack of middle foot that is surprising. My foot barely touches the earth when standing. My arches have fallen a bit from running but still are high. That is the struggle when buying runners. Arch support but I have a healthy stride.
I didn't know that much about feet of different races. I have arches myself and usually can't find decent support for that. when I was a teen I wore skateboarding shoes, because I was a skateboarder, and those shoes are completely flat, to allow you to feel the board. probably not the best shoes
Well it shows you have true white heritage to have a celtic foot, maybe even a german foot. Most of Europe and Mediterranean has the Greek foot or Roman foot including myself and i'm only considered white by skin colour because im Eurasian. That being said, celtic feet are unique and so it becomes exotic, you should try exposing your feet in public as much as you can to attract attention to your celtic toes when travelling, because 'paleness' or 'whiteness' is a huge deal in the east.

Like the Irish are palest of pale from what I’ve noticed and seen. Swedish people can sort of tan.
I’ve never seen being the pastiest of pasty as a good thing. In fact, my concierge Botox physician how comes by the office to do everyone how wants it at once mentioned she rarely has patients that aren’t white.
I just get a couple of squeezes between my brows so I always look peaceful.

Most of European countries have sub-groups etc and are mixed, and considering that most Northern Europeaners dont have the German foot or Celtic Foot, ones with them can be seen as the original inhabitants of those lands :) And since 'white' traits are a huge deal in the east, to the point where people dye their hair platinum, where fake lenses to change their eye color, maybe being white is desirable in terms of genetics, i mean take the Balkans for example, the whiter the better there, not culturally, but sharing the phenotypes of the original 'white' heritage from the Northern islands are a huge deal.
