Would you be mad if you saw your "girl" dancing with another guy?

I've been seeing this guy for about 3 months. We mostly talk on the phone. He is pretty busy with work so the last time I saw him was over a month ago. Last night I was going out with some friends and told him where we were going. It happened to be the club where I met him at. He had somewhere else to go but said he might make an appearance later on.

So me and my friend went, we had a drink and a couple of shots when this guy grabbed my hand and pulled me onto the dance floor. I didn't want to dance with him and I tried to pull away but I thought what the hell and just danced with him. After a few songs I went back over to the bar and my guy was standing there with his friends. He acted really cold towards me so I asked him what was up. He said check your phone. He had sent me a text saying "I see you whoring it up on the dance floor." I was shocked. Its not like I was throwing myself on this other guy, I was just dancing with him. Now he acts like he doesn't want to talk to me anymore.

We never really talked about making our relationship exclusive but some how I feel that is the impression he had. Did I really mess up or is he overreacting? I really like him and want to lose him to something so silly.

Partially jealous, but not really mad.

I will for sure ask her later who was it. Maybe it was her old close friend or brother. If it's so, I don't really mind. If this is some random guy, well, I'll take that as a negative note about girl.

However I won't begin drama and I won't rush to them to stop their dancing.

You see, dancing is one of the most popular ways how guy meets/get closer to the girl in the club. If girl doesn't resists and dances with you, we basically understand that as a sign of sympathy. How would you react if some girl would be dancing with your guy while you're away?

Beer jealousy. I mean if you two are "seeing each other" and talk on the phone (for 3 months lol) what makes him think he can have dibs? I mean had you told him you didn't want to dance with the guy, but did anyway.. it'd make ya look stupid honestly. If you and I were in this situation and had plans to meet up and when I walked in, you were grinding with a guy- I'd be unhappy too. Kind of in your face.

I would only be upset if my girl was dirty dancing with a dude. If my girl told me that she was going out dancing, I would expect that she would dance with her friends, and maybe some guys. As long as she wasn't grinding on some dude, I would be alright about it.

Was there any conversation about your relationship being unexclusive? I don't think it is unfair to assume that a relationship is exclusive if no conversation to the contrary had occurred.

the only way you can dance with another guy in a club is if he's a good friend and the boyfriend knows.
