How do we tell you with out hurting your feelings?

Ok here's the thing, while you were young you had a hot bod! Slim trim and with the 6 pack. (or just in shape) You meet your women and she too is slim and trim. Now over the next 10 years you start to put on the pounds. You went from 140 to 230 - ya now got a gut! She's only gained 10-15lbs

Your women still loves you to death and would never ever leave you just because of your body, BUT. She does find your weight gain unappealing now.

How do we tell you with out hurting your feelings. Don't say tell you we are worried about health - because that doesn't work. Help me on this guys. I love him to death but would like it if he lost a few lbs.

You're not rowing that boat alone. And there's nothing you can do about it. He has to decide for himself to lose the pounds. He has probably already noticed that he's not as trim as he used to be, but the mirror can often reflect back an image of not being too bad. You need to let him know. And it will probably hurt.

I take it you've already tried the health thing with him and it didn't work? So he's probably aware that you've noticed his fat and aren't too happy with it.

The only thing I can suggest saying is, "I love you, but you really need to lose the pounds. " It's up to him then.

If you loved him to death, then something so small as "vanity" shouldn't even be in the question. To me, if you loved him to death, then something so meaningless and vein shouldn't even be a thought. Look past it. If you cant, then maybe you don't love him like you thought you did. Thats just my 2 cents.

  I do love him, but we as people change our appearance over time. I would NEVER leave him due to this. And yes have been looking past it. However we all have our turn offs and turn ons. What we find attractive and what we don't. I don't think I am being vane. I am being honest. But thank you just the same. If it was something he could not change- it would NEVER be an issue.
