Why does my ex keep blocking me and unblocking me online?

I broke up with my ex boyfriend over something very small five months ago (not the first time) and I had tried contacting him a few times to get him back. It was unsuccessful and I am feeling like an idiot. If it wasn't for his strange behavior, I would've move on. To give you a little history: One month after we broke up, I called him, he didn't return my call. I emailed him and told him that I still care about him and wanted to work things out. He never responded to the email and a few days later, he blocked me online. Since then, I lost hope and tried to move on. A month later, he unblocked me, then blocked me again a week later. Just 3 weeks ago, I noticed he unblock me again, so I thought maybe he wanted me to contact him. I called him and left a message. I was wrong, he never return my call. Three days later, he saw me online and he blocked me again. I am so confuse by his behavior. It seems like he likes to unblock me when I don't contact him and block me when I do try to contact him. I still care for him and really want him back in my life. Why is he acting so strange? If he doesn't want me in his life, he should block me and delete me on AIM permanently. I can't let him go. Please help!

i say that he is dealing with the feelings of whether he wants you back or not. either that or he's playing with you. see guys some guys deal with things differently. they try to be nonchalant about it. if you haven't already, send him an email and explain to him how you feel about him and tell him that either way, whether he still feels the same way about you or not, that he needs to let you know. tell him that you like him, but that you understand that letting someone go is another form of love and that you will move on if he does not feel the same way... hope it was helpfull..let me know

Thanks for the advice. I was tempted to send him another email, but the fact that he never responded to my first email 4 months ago already gave me a heads up that he may not respond to my email again. I want to, but I feel like I had lost all my pride and he will probably think I am such a loser for contacting him over and over again when he doesn't respond at all..

Sounds like your ex is feeling conflicted but the feelings are still there. If you are sure you want to try again maybe try a different tactic. Maybe try email or a handwritten letter to him and tell him what your feeling. Time will tell.

Break ups are a head game. Guys think they can do without, yet conscience kicks in and we can't. I am doing the same thing at the moment. I have my ex girlfriend blocked on my cell phone, but I get drunk and send her emails. I mean it's all just a way to hold on to some kind of hope, yet not look interested.

Hey, at least you send you ex emails when you are drunk. My ex didn't even reply my email or return my calls. If he has hope of getting back with me, why did he ignore my contact? If he moved on already, why did he unblock me? This is so strange, I have never came across anything like this before. BTW, If you still have feelings for your ex, you need to ask her out...

I tried everything humanly possible to get my ex back. we lost our "spark" apparently. we dated for many years and now she's in party mode and thinks she's better than me. life will run its course though, she will get hurt by someone who doesn't treat her even slightly as good as I did. then she will come running back. remember- he who cares the least controls the relationship. she wanted to be chased- I didn't chase. I moved out of state and changed jobs so I don't have to hurt over her anymore.

Wow, you really loved her!! You are right, she will eventually get hurt by someone who doesn't treat her well. By that time, you might find someone right for you already.

Ya I am completely crushed and devastated still, it eats me alive. I will never forgive her for putting me through this. I've considered taking my life in a drunken stooper over this. I had a hardcore emotional breakdown in which I was hospitalized and I take an array of anti-depression medication. It's no joke to play with a guys heart.
