On that logic, I'd agree that women move on quicker I think. Because we deal with heartbreak with friends (usually) we talk, have a bitch session, maybe kill them in the sims, eat some ice cream whatever and then we're done I guess. Whereas men, you usually are told you can't show emotions or cry so you deal internally and take longer?
Nah. Have to disagree with you there. The grieving period is actually longer for men. Women can move on faster because they can get another man very fast easily. And a lot of women have a better social network to vent their problems while for men this can be much less. Factor in also that men are taught to not cry and shed their emotions while women are taught to let it all out and we have everything indicating that women get over the relationship faster than men.
1. They can get a new man like that and many of them do get a rebound guy very quickly after a breakup.
2. Women are encourage to let out their emotions and grief. They also have better support system which helps them get over breakup. Men on the other hand do not have such a good support system and society doesn't encourage crying and showing sadness.
3. And many girls are actively preparing themselves months before the breakup even happens. Some women are actively looking for the next man while in the relationship.
@BubbleBoy69 -_- not all, or really many women do that at all. Only the ones that are whores or bitches do that, the mindset of women is more to attach to a guy than a guy's is to attach to a girl.
@BubbleBoy69 No I don't normally defend women. THis is just something I know women do.
1. They are ABLE to get a new man, but don't. You know how women are more emotional than men, they get more attached, and this find a new man bullshit? Probably 1/100 women do this, considering that they are actually so dedicated to the relationship themselves. 2. Almost everyone has a backup person, and men more than women. Fact. 3. Men ARE encouraged to let out their sadness by society all the time, FACT. Have you looked around, lately? And since men aren't supposed to show their emotions, they get over someone by getting with a new person. Honestly, is this news to you? 4. That's because it takes them a hell of a lot time longer to get the fuck over it. it's so long that it's almost annoying.
It's not harder for either gender than the other. Women have to struggle with accepting that that attachment is gone, and men have to continue on.
1. They do normally get a new man. I've seen more girls find a new man within 2 weeks-month of a breakup while the guy is still crying in self pity.
2. That is a lie. Seeing men are the ones who have a smaller pool of women interested in them and it was difficult enough getting one girl to become your girlfriend. If you apply your argument to good looking men who have options on par with women you would be correct but not for the average male.
3. Your statement again is a lie. Men by in large are constantly shamed for crying all the time. Society deems it emasculating. Men are often told to bottle their emotions. The opposite is true for women. Women are told to basically express themselves more. Hence, we have the women are emotional than men trope.
4. Your above statement does not even counter my last statement. Better support network and friends to help you mean its easier for you to get over an ex.
@BubbleBoy69 I've had enough of this conversation, it's taking too long to type out.
No guy takes that long, it takes them like a day and then they're out and moving again. They might have trouble finding a girlfriend, but they move on faster. And for #2, this is the REASON men NEED backup girls! Girls don't need backup men! You're only fighting your point! And as for #3, this is why they find a new girlfriend faster to get over the old one. This is their way of dealing, don't you see? And so women are expected to be more emotional, therefore longer grieving time. They still take longer than men, regardless. And I don't know what you're trying to prove here, but it's really starting to get annoying.
Oh, the 15 year old card? Is that how you settle this argument?
I'll tell you this right now, if you call it mature or not, I don't care, I'm blocking you the next time you post on my opinion, because it's getting annoying, no questions asked.
2) Men don't go looking for other women because most men try to get the relationship to work more since it's so hard getting a girlfriend in first place. Most women on the otherhand have options and are already looking for your replacement.
My point is very logical. Men fight to keep the relationship alive. No time for looking. Women don't have nearly as much investment as men do because they have options and can find a new you fast.
3. Again your logic fails. It's hard enough men finding the first girl. The average man will take much longer to get a new girlfriend before their ex finds a new boyfriend.
4. No they do not take longer. They let out all their tears in one big burst while men bottle up their thoughts. They then go on and socialize, mingle and find rebound guy. Some of them go for ONS to get over their ex. While a lot of guys are just drinking themselves and wallowing in self pity.
Do you think it depends on who broke the relationship off and who the one that got dumped?

I have seen men that move on faster and women that have moved on faster. What's important is YOU. Focus on YOU. If it hurts you, just embrace that feeling and in time it will go away.

Men probably, we deal with a lot of shit in private, and we don't move on as fast as many girls think but probably still men

@bbch25 Yeah that's a good point too
Wants up with the generalizations Dildo? 😛 it depends on the person. Even if they don't show they are hurt they could still be hurting.
The one who is least invested in the previous relationship moves on faster.
Men, probably. I think on average it's been established. I don't know if it's something to be proud of but hey whatever
Nope. It's women actually.
@BubbleBoy69 Nope women on average have a longer grieving period

@BubbleBoy69 Just because women CAN move on faster doesn't mean they do. It takes them sometimes months to get over someone.
Just because they can they usually do.
1. They can get a new man like that and many of them do get a rebound guy very quickly after a breakup.
2. Women are encourage to let out their emotions and grief. They also have better support system which helps them get over breakup. Men on the other hand do not have such a good support system and society doesn't encourage crying and showing sadness.

Lol i don't know why your defending women so badly. Do you think you'll get nudes for this?
1. Women very much can have a new man faster than an average man can a nude girl (fact)
2. Many women have backup men (fact)
3. Women are encourage to let out their sadness. While men are not. (fact)
4. Women often have better support network to get over breakups than men (fact)
Yet, you still try hard to hold onto your beliefs that it's harder for women.

And i just realize i'm dealing with a 15 yr old.

I don't think there's a difference other than on an individual level.
Do you think it depends on who broke the relationship off and who the one that got dumped?

Usually males, but it always depends on the individual.
It depends on the person actually and on how strong was the relationship
Depends on the person
Depends on the individual.
I would say men.
Men for suuuuure
Men move on faster
Meh I would say both
