Miss my ex and stuck in a bad spot?

I'm not sure what to do at this point I miss my ex-girlfriend a lot. It's been a over a year since she dumped me. I've tried everything keeping myself busy, improving myself and working through my issues. I've tried to date other people which leads no where, so many first dates with them feeling nothing for me and me feeling completely uninterested in them. I'm stuck and want this person back even though she has moved on. I feel like I've lost the one, even though I really never believed in that.

I know how hard it is. My ex left me in early January this year and I still miss him.
Is she still with someone at the moment?
Do you still keep in contact with one another?

I believe she is still with someone and we keep in touch but very very sparsely. I've had to make space to try and heal.

I completely understand, I have had do the same recently as my ex kept in contact since the breakup as friends but it was causing mixed signals and given me false hope

Space is the best option at the moment. I know this is the last thing you want to hear but in the meantime especially if she is with someone else it is best for you to keep moving on I guess as it doesn’t sound like she is interested if the contact is sparsely and she is seeing someone

I understand the saying, however every time I think about it that way it depresses me even more. Like every relationship onwards will feel less. It really makes me question life sometimes.

It’s ok to feel what you’re feeling right now but she’s moved on and apparently is w someone else. So you have two options:- have more respect for yourself enough to move on keep a positive mindset. Who knows, the one who’s meant for you could be in front of you but you’re too busy sulking (?)

Your second option is to keep allowing yourself to feel what you’re feeling and wait for her (if she breaks up with the new guy). It’s really your choice.

But if you need a friend to vent to, I’m here for ya. We all been through a heartbreak.

How do you know she’s moved on? Have you called her?

Yes we've been in contact and she had moved on rather quickly.

Easier said then done. Like I said it's been a year of many first dates with women that have absolutely no interest in me after the date is over.

You are correct that it doesn't justify going back to a broken relationship. I'm struggling with how no one else is coming along that feels any attraction to me and me to them. It just seems to resolidify the idea of the "one" in my head. I don't know I haven't had a relationship affect me in this way before
