Clear signs to move on?

My ex is giving me all the clear signs to move on. It hurts but I have to deal with it. After closure he told me he hopes I’m not rebounding or got directly into dating. I told him it didn’t matter since we are not together. Why is he mad even if we aren’t together?

He might be right about rebounding thing, you might essentially get in a relationship and hurt someone else. But, yes, it isn't up to him exactly

Do you really not understand the difference? (This is not sarcastically, I'm just curious) he could be an ex because she broke up with him but it seems more like he did..

And more importantly, even if he did break up maybe it's for the time being. Thus the angry reaction over her considering dating soon again, again, it's not stated that he specifically told her to move on
