Did you ever commit infidelity in a marriage which led to a divorce? How did you feel in the end?

Subject brought up while watching breaking bad and just curious as to the input of those who lived it and what they learned. What would you say to the younger generations in regards to remaining faithful to your spouse? It wrecked my childhood and tore my family apart. Now that millennials are adults as well as some of gen z what would you tell them?

I define fidelity as honoring a commitment to forsake all other partners and have only one partner in a sexual or romantic relationship. That obligation begins as soon as you agree to date exclusively, and it ends when a couple decides to divorce and are living in separate households.

With that definition established. . . I have never been unfaithful to a partner. Not once in 51 years of dating, relationships, and marriage.

My father was a self-absorbed lothario who was unfaithful to my mother for most of the 34 years they were married. I grew up seeing a husband and wife who were unhappy with each other, who were seldom affectionate towards another, and I rarely heard the "L" word. I have worked hard to overcome the deficit that created for me.
