my girlfriend broke up with me after a year because she apparently needed to figure her own stuff out.. I’m deeply in love with her, and I poured my heart out into a letter and left it for where she could find it. She acknowledged she read it and is “metabolizing”. It’s been a week now. Is a week enough time to really Think about things? Should I reach out after another week? Should I let it go?

Let it go and take up a hobby or go on vacation or something to get your mind off it as much as possible.

It’s been a year & if she hasn’t figured out her own stuff by now she probably never will or she still needs time to. As for you it’s time for you to simply move on & if you wait you’ll probably be waiting a life time. Move forward bro.
