Did she actually want to reconnect?

An ex who broke up with me, suddenly texted me, after more than 2 months I went no contact. She asked her stuff back she left in my house. She was trying to be friendly and cheerful at first but I always replied her with cold and direct answers. Because she said she wanted to contact me to ask her stuff but she always forgot it. Even she said she forgot how many stuff she left in my house. I doubt that she forgot about her stuff or even forgot about me, because she always check my social media activities everyday since the breakup, she didn't miss a single story, and keeps liking my posts, while I never did the same thing to her, I really disappeared from her life.

Then I offered her to ship her stuff to her house, but she didn't allowed me to ship it, because she said it would cost a lot, since her house is located far away from mine. And she said she will contact me again sometimes if she comes near my place to pick her stuff. I don't actually care about the cost, because I think I better end things between us by returning her stuff immediately, I still love her actually but it was so hurt when she broke up with me and when she asked me to leave. So I got mad and said to her "you texted me only to ask your stuff, and why is it so complicated? I can just ship it to your house, it might takes only few hours to one day, it's fast and the thing is all your stuff will be returned safely, isn't that what you wanted?" Then she replied with one text "whatever do you want".

So finally I shipped all her stuff to her house in the next day, and she thanked me after she got her stuff back and gave me the cold shoulder. Lol I wonder why she became cold too, after those friendly and cheerful texts at first approach. Did she actually wanted to meet me and maybe reconnect things? Or should I continue no contact and move on? Thanks.

Once an ex, always an ex.

You were right to ship her stuff back to her place without meeting her personally. That would only have complicated things between you and her. She probably intended to attempt to reconnect and when she realized that it failed after you sent her belongings, she gave you the cold shoulder because she realized that her attempt failed.

One never gets back to an ex because, well, an ex is an ex for a very good reason and attempting a second try to get together will fail because people don't change. The same routine will settle in after a few days or weeks and you are back to square one, just like the first time.

Make a clear cut and don't contact this person. She will slowly distance herself when she realizes that her attempts fail.

The point for her is Power. She wants to control yiur emoticon. She is an attention seeker. Giving you the cold shoulder gets some sign of care from you. Being sweet and sending her Stuff was attention. She knew when “all of her” was removed from your life…the thought in her head that you still love and can’t let her go…ALL of it is over.

This is not about “do we have a chance” this is about Control of an environment that allows another to keep their little Narcissistic world in order. It will never be a “story book live” for her with any man. It is NOT you 🤷🏻‍♂️

You are welcomed. Be honest with you man... people like this scare me. There are often either sociopath or psychopathic trends within the Narcissist diagnosis. She wants your Attention whether you cry or compliment her... either way works for these people as long as they know OR even think... they are the Cause.-They feed off it living in an ulterior motive and World... Turn around forever and walk away if there are no kids or marriage involved. People suck sometimes...
