There would have to be a lot more context to the situation to say yes or no. It really depends on a lot of things. Is it because you cannot let your ex go? Do you have feelings for him ever, even once in a while?

Without knowing the situation and dynamic, I will have to side towards no. That does not mean it isn't possible, but an ex is an ex for a reason. There are, however, always exceptions to that rule. I will give an example.

My ex is a friend because our breakup was due to him moving away. There was no animosity and we both realized it just wasn't going to be possible. 10 hour difference in distance will do that. Do we still see each other? Nope. Do we occasionally communicate via email? Yep.

The thing here is that it was a long time ago this has happened. Any of the feelings I had for him romantically or similar are long gone. It changed to a friendship over years worth of time. I would never in a million years leave my husband for him or anyone else. So, you see, there is context needed in your situation.

Nothing is easy as having sex with your ex if you broke up with an understanding (non ugly breakups) even if he/she married or has a partner. I had an ex who broke up with me for being without a bigger money bag, but I would warm her bed regularly even when she got into a relationship and got married because we remained friends.
