Guys, How to talk after a breakup?

How long should I wait after a breakup to reach out to my ex to tell him I fixed what caused the breakup? How do I word a text telling him I want to talk about things without seeming desperate so he will talk and be open about the idea of getting together again?

Lasted a year? Stay away for 6 months at least

Well it also depends on him if he even wants anything to do with you and there is a good chance that the longer you wait you might just find out he's moved on as shitty as that is but it is true it's happened to my friend and she was devastated by it
