Cheating Ex blocked me a few months into me going into no contact, why?

So i found out my boyfriend was having an affair in the middle of us buying a house. Short version, we ended up breaking up 6 weeks later after moving into said new house. I was the one who lost everything. My home, my life, my relationship, my stepson. Everything. I left, packed everything and left. After a couple months still in sporadic contact, he went ice cold on me. I went into no contact and didn't communicate with him anymore, for my own sake and sanity. He then blocked me on everything possible, except whatsapp. But slowly drip fed the blocks, i didn't respond to any of these blocks at all i just let him do what he wanted to. But what I wanna know is, why am I being blocked, as if im the one who had the affair and hurt him?

Ugh sis, that is so messed up of him to put you through all that! Blocking you out of nowhere after YOU'RE the one he hurt is so immature.

Honestly it sounds like he's just being insecure and trying to regain some control over the situation. He knows he screwed up big time, so now he wants to make it seem like HE'S mad at YOU so he doesn't have to face what a jerk he was. Classic cheater move.

Deep down he's probably feeling guilty knowing how much he messed with your head and betrayed your trust. Easier for his ego to act like you're the problem than admit how badly he treated you. Trust, he's NOT over you if he's still finding ways to get a rise out of you like this.

The block is just another lame manipulation tactic. Don't let it get to you - you're way better off without that drama in your life! Keep holding your head high sis, his actions say it all. You did nothing wrong, so don't waste another thought on some boy who can't own up to his shit. His loss!
