My ex sent me a gift? Its been 5 or 6 months...

He sent me a gift that is worth a lot of money even though its been months? He has a kid and a girlfriend that he left me for and said that he was going to try to make it work with her? I pretty much never talked to him after our break up Because I don't want to be responsible for this kids parents breaking up, maybe ruining his life Because kids can be very sensitive about divorce. But they aren't even married. I don't know I'm just confused by the whole thing Because I was pretty much over it even if I love him and this just brought all the old emotions back. Its been so long I feel like talking to him now would just be awkward anyways. So why did he send it if he's trying to make it work with his girlfriend. and does he expect me to call him? he hasn't made any attempt to explain the gift it just showed up one day and he hasn't called me about it or anything...

Well I guess you've only got 2 options:

1) call him, even if it's just to say thanks for the present and then ask why?

or 2) You carry on as you have done not speaking to him and the choice is up to you whether you keep it, throw it or sell it! Depends on what you wanna do really!

As for why there are perhaps many reasons we could say, but we don't know the guy! Like he could have sent to say I miss you (whether that be as a girlfriend or just generally in his life), or your birthday? or something who knows?

i gave him an email but no reply...idk maybe he's busy with the holidays. we'll see what's up. I guess its useless and overall he's prlly just either trying to do the right thing or is trying to f*** with my head so that he can either get in my pants or just whatever use me for stuff. I don't know if I see him trying to get in a relationship with me but most likely not...i really should move on again. I just hate the mind games tho. even if he might have meant well by it
