Ex boyfriend won't talk about current girlfriend with me?

So I'm still on friendly terms with my ex boyfriend. Our break up was kind of mutual because he wasn't ready for anything serious and we just didn't have time with our jobs to really have a fair relationship. He has since started dating someone else and I was happy for him, hoping he'll grow a little and find himself more before any potential of us getting back together in the distant future. The weird thing is, is that when we talk and catch up he never talks about his current girlfriend or happy things he does with her. The only thing he has told me about her is that she is very jealous of me because she says he talks about me too much. I know that no matter what I will probably always have a place for him, but does this mean that maybe he's feeling the same way? Any feed back would be amazing!

I think the only thing you're pursuing is getting information about his relationship, to see how they're doing. To see if you actually have a chance or not. Else, why would you want to know about them? Or about the girl? He's your ex, and like someone else here said, he could be talking to you way less than he is.

I wouldn't be thinking the way you are. Like "he'll grow a little before any potential of getting back together". You just want to see him mature for your own benefit? It's not weird at all to avoid talking to your ex about your relationship. When I broke up with some guy long ago, I didn't go ahead and tell him "yes, my current boyfriend and I went to see this film, and then we had a great time bla bla". Do you think that is fun? You're not any girl, you're not any friend. You're his ex girlfriend.

In due time, he'll get over you. The single fact that he's in a relationship means: accept your role as an exgirlfriend. Don't pry!

Guys I think it's a little blunt to be saying the Asker should've maintained no contact, not everyone is bitter after a breakup and some people still value exs even without the romantic part.

As to the Asker, I'm in about the same position. My ex and I are friends now, I suspect he is seeing someone new, but when I asked he doesn't even answer yes or no, much less details revealing. I know how curious you might feel - I still feel curious until now - but sometimes you have to understand exs aren't just any friends. There is a little different set of boundaries to watch out for.

On getting back together, let's just say both you and I ought to open up to new potential while waiting for the ex to become single again. No point dating someone who cheats on the current girlfriend anyway.

You say "potential of us getting back together" does he think there is potential? He has a new girlfriend. In my mind, that more indicative that he's leaving you behind. That's just my opinion. Take it for what it's worth.
