Is it weird to offer my ex tickets for a gig I bought him as a surprise while we were still together?

Ok back story... we'd only been together 4 months and about 2 weeks before we broke up I got hold of some tickets to see a band he really wants to see.

He broke up with me because of HIS issues and apparently not being in the right place for a relationship right now. Firstly does this sound like a "it's not you, it's me" line with a fancy new twist? or could there still be a chance to reconcile this? (yes I want him back)

It's only been a week since we broke up so I realize I may need to give it a little more time but will me sending him a text to see if he wants the tickets be completely obvious and he'll see right through my desperate attempt? At the end of it all even if he doesn't want me back I'd still like him to have the tickets but I'm just not sure how to go about it... any help?

Don't attempt to try to get him back. I went througha similar thing like you, saw a girl for 4 months and towards the end of teh 4 months she realized she wasn't ready for what I wanted as she was single for a week when we started seeing each other (she was with a guy for 3 years) at first I understood and then once every few weeks I kept telling her I missed her and didn't want to lose her, basically dumbing my feelings for her on her. We still talk but I feel like me trying to get her back didn't help anything, probably pushed her away more.

Just give him the tickets either as a nice gesture being like "hey, I know you really like this band and I had bought these tickets a few weeks ago for you, you can have them if you want" or just sell them to him and be like "hey my friend has these tickets to the band you like and she can't go, I know you like them, do you want them? she wants $____ for them"

My honest opinion after a lot of thinking in those matters is to not think about it. You bought the tickets for him initially. If you enjoy the band you could go with someone else. On the other hand, if you believe that he deserves them and that you would be happy with him watching the band, the go ahead and give him both of them. But don't expect anything. Drop by his place and tell him that you had this idea and even though you are no longer together, you thought he should have them. If he is any decent, he will thank you and probably either go with a friend (not another love interest) or not go at all. But you might also be surprised.

Rule of thumb: don't expect anything. Just do what you see feet with the ticket and let the universe do its thing!

If you wanna go yourself, you go to the concert. But if you're gonna give them to him, (I'd even say he could buy them from me with a friend discount or something) don't offer to go with him.

Just tell him you got a hold of tickets of a concert he wants to see and if he's interested in them. If you just keep it at that, no problem. But no smalltalk about the relationship or feelings or something. Let him take his time, but don't wait for him to come back.

Don't try to go with him. If you want to go to the concert, bring a friend and enjoy. If you don't, then drop by and give him the tickets, then disappear.

You will not get him back. But at least you can make him feel a little bit guilty.Revenge is also worth something if the revenge is the positive kind.

And it is a shame to let the tickets go to waste.
