For the guys section I agree with everything except the male friends part knowing guys they would want to try it on with the girl no way I'm gonna let that happen on my watch

It's her responsibility to decline their moves. I have tons of guy friends who have never made a move on me and never will, so calm down with your paranoia.

Uhhh no? And if he takes advantage of her then it's obviously not her fault, and not something you should be jealous of or feel hurt over? More like feel mad at the douche for taking advantage of your girlfriend, which would be considered sexual assault.

@LightsOff Explain to me please why, if a girl has sex and it's "in the moment", it's not her fault. She still had the capacity to say no.

You said he took advantage of her... i. e. it's not her fault. If she agrees to it in the heat of the moment then he's not taking advantage of her since she's consenting. Taking advantage of = not receiving consent.

I didn't mean sexual assult more like making a move on my girl. Girls are naive and Can let themselves be manipulated why take a chance.
I'm loyal and don't go out with other girls so why should she? @LightsOff

Having friends of the opposite sex is not the same as going out with someone -_- and if he makes a move and she consents, then obviously she's not worth dating. But that could happen even if she doesn't have any male friends. So having male friends doesn't really make a difference. Like I said if she's a cheater then she'll cheat no matter what. And plenty of girls aren't weak-minded, we're able to tell guys no especially if we want to be faithful to our partner.

people who are friends usually go out doing activities together, and the only difference between me and her friend would be I`m a bit more physical so not much difference thats not to say she could be emotionally cheating with the guy also. won't work out plus she could develop feelings for him this is how most cheating starts of as just being friends. @LightsOff

Sorry, but if a girl wants to cheat there's nothing you can do about it. Same goes with her guy friends, she most likely won't stop talking to them just because you want to. Remember that the majority of girls don't cheat despite having guy friends. And if a girl cheats it might be because the relationship is going south anyway and you aren't fulfilling her needs. Like I said she won't be stopped if she really wants to cheat, having guy friends don't make any difference.

@MrCryptic obviously. Where I'm from most people are in a group of friends that consists of both guys and girls. 99% of the guys have at least one female friend. It's kind of inevitable. As long as he doesn't do anything shady behind my back I'm fine. And as long as he doesn't prioritize her over me, or hang out with/text her late at night, I don't see why he shouldn't be allowed to be her friend.

@lightoff Very well. You brought up some decent points throughout this but you might be surprised how defensive some women get when I turn the situation around and how they are NOT ok with their boyfriends having female friends because they say "it's different." The only other point I could argue is that we are human and can be prone to temptation in the wrong situations so why add possible fuel to the fire. Some of the most staunch people I've met men and women alike always talk about how they would NEVER cheat, etc. but sometimes when they are in the wrong situation it happens. I'm not against having opposite sex friends but I think there should be respectful boundaries towards each others SO's for instance what you named in your last post and maybe no hanging out with the opposite sex friends unless the SO is there and things of that nature.

@MrCryptic @LightsOff the only thing you achieve by preventing your SO from having other-sex friends is being a controlling possessive crazy person who's forcing their partner into an abusive relationship that any sane individual would want to run away from.

I don't possess those qualities. Maybe it boils down to luck half the times. The list can be true, but what if the other person just doesn't appreciate you because they're the douches.

You do realize that the only qualities that humans can't change is their basic body shape, base intelligence and their core personality? Fat/muscle can be changed, outfits can be changed hair can be changed, skin tone can be changed (within reason), personality traits can be changed, even intelligence can be changed. You can actually become smarter by learning, but there is a genetic difference that sets limits for people. That's why some people are naturally smarter, but the less intelligent people can also become smarter. So no, only a small amount is luck.

You're point, kid? I am not off the bat of looks and I'm doing a science degree. Divorce rates are 50% and many people of our parents generation (and ours) prefer online dating. A successful relationship can be more difficult nowadays, even if an individual doesn't have those listed qualities or just a few.

"I get that you want someone to talk to all the time, someone to rely on, who makes you feel safe. That's what we all want, really. But I see so many girls dropping every interest and hobby they have, and expecting their boyfriend to be the same. This isn't healthy, and is going to drive him away, and make you both miserable.

You don't need to text him every hour. You don't need to see him every day (especially early in the relationship; it's different if you live together). Take care of yourself, and keep your own social life going. Be reasonable, and let him have his own, too."

Where did I say not to text the SO? I said not abandon your own life and interests in favour of a relationship, and that you don't need to text him constantly. I think they're pretty valid points. Getting texts all day from someone, especially if you're busy, is incredibly annoying, and it's not good behaviour for a new relationship.
