Gentleman let me be absolutely clear. If you are Brad Pitt a woman will go out of her way to meet you. She will cancel her dates with her friends. She will travel for the date. She won't care about the details of the date and sure as hell wouldn't be messaging you to try to switch up what the date plan is. The girl will just show up.

I don't think this is true. Sure, maybe with the flaking and stuff (not because she would act differently with a celebrity, but because maybe she isn't as ready to date as she thought she was), but not the point about wanting to take things slow. Some people genuinely aren't ready to do certain things and that's completely fine. Not every girl is waiting to rush into a relationship with the nearest model.

And as for not caring about where the date is, that's not true. It doesn't matter who she's going out with. You expect her to put in effort, and she expects the same from you. If you're planning the date, put in effort. Try to make it nice. Don't say that if she's really into you she won't care, and then use that as an excuse to be lazy. There are more important things than physical attractiveness.

Also, I can't be the only person who thinks that the idea of dating a celebrity sounds absolutely miserable. They travel constantly, your private life would become public, your kids would need a security detail, and every little thing you did would become a subject of critique, not just by paparazzi and journalists, but also by his fangirls who already hate you because they want to be dating him instead.

Yup. It's all about strong genuine desire vs lower level desire.

What most men are taught is that women are supposed to have a low level of desire and that men are supposed to put in all of the effort to win them over rather than it being more of a 50/50 thing. For men who've never experienced anything else for whatever reason - they're just not that attractive, they're shy/a little awkward/not confident, they don't know how to lead, therefore have a lack of options.

They're used to playing the dating and waiting game in the hopes that if they "play their cards right" she'll accept them. That's what they see as normal and they don't know any better.

When a woman genuinely likes you and is strongly attracted to you though, that doesn't happen. All of the rules and the barriers they put up for those guys don't even come up. You don't have to be Brad Pitt (or whichever celebrity crush a woman has), a super good-looking multi-millionaire actor, for there to be genuine strong desire. The point people are missing is just that it's an easy example of the kind of guy who'd get a lot of that.

You also mentioned to somebody else that women will always bring up irrelevant shit rather than debate the topic properly, and that's because again they miss the point, but also because they kind of don't want guys to know this stuff. The reason you get so much of that from women on these kinds of posts is because they kind of prefer the majority of men to be naive and clueless. That gives them power in the dating game.

Every my take I have read of yours involves women putting out and if she has an excuse, she's somehow not invested or a guy won't be interested especially if he's high value. I think to an extent you're right, although if a woman wants to take things slow it can have nothing to do with how much she cares for you, values you, or is attracted to you sex and commitment have different values to different people. Personally, if I want a serious relationship with someone I do move slowly, I think if you want something to be good you shouldn't rush it. You also shouldn't expect a woman to let go of her own personal life for you, if she's meeting her friends don't expect her to cancel that because you want to see her but she shouldn't plan to meet them when she already had plans with you.

That being said if a woman is clearly taking advantage of you such as only wanting to go on dates if you're paying or only if you're taking her somewhere really nice and covering it. Then I have had probably 7 other women that I have had "long term" friends with benefits relationships with where we basically were friends but having sex for several months. Some moved away. But most of them are friends with me still to this day.
