You don't want to rapid fire ask questions to where they feel like they're at an Inquisition, but if you feel like there's lapses or the conversation is going into areas best avoided or too personal..

Some of the questions that are found on that link are also some of the questions I've seen asked on here so if you can ask a GAGer, you should be able to ask your date.

I think a lot of times we overthink, overstress, and make dates more awkward, harder than they need to be.

If more people would just go into the date as just going out to have a good time with a new person with the potential to connect instead of the expectation to, you might enjoy the evening more whether you make that love connection or not...

Great My Take! I loved your questions/subjects. I figured I would reply with one of the WORST questions I have ever been asked on a first date.
When I was 16, this cute guy I kinda liked asked me out. He was older than me, but that just made me feel even more special about being asked out by him! He asked what my address was, so he could pick me up. I told him it was fine, and that I would meet him at the restaurant. (One of my parents rules is until I’m sure about a guy, NEVER get in a car with him, especially not alone!) His first question when I got there was “why did you drive yourself I would have been happy to pick you up” I can’t remember what exactly I said to him about that, but we went inside without me telling him, and where both seated. Anyway, about 5 minutes after the meal arrived he just blurted out “So, do you shave your pussy, or get it waxed?” I just looked at him puzzled, I was almost CERTAIN that I had not heard him correctly. Then he looked at me, and said “oh.. don’t tell me you are one of those free-range, let the pussy-hair grow wild, feminist types?” I just put my knife and fork down, patted my mouth with the napkin, and said “remember when you asked my why I INSISTED on driving myself? THIS is why!” I poured my water on his head and left!

SMH! I know… that is by FAR the rudest, treatment I have ever received on a first, or any date! Word of it got around, and his dating life slowed to a crawl! Apparently he had done it before but people didn’t believe the girl, I guess by #2 people started believing! I'll advise everyone to stick with the silly question part, then chip in one or two from the other categories. Except you prefer an interview to a date 😂. However, always bear in mind that the questions in the other categories are really important, therefore you should ask those too at intervals ( not necessarily on the first date).

This one is a sticky question "Do you have any children?" many people simply don't feel it's an appropriate first date question. Also any question that implies a relationship comes off as stockerish. I consider these as loaded as "do you have sex on the first date? Remember a woman has as much right to a relationship as guy has to sex, or rather none at all, and any implication otherwise is as inappropriate. The moment she starts talking about kids and a white picket fence I'm looking for the check and will loose her number. Sure these are conversations we can have after we get to know one another. But first date... no! Hard stop!
