Being A Single Man in your 30's

I don't know about you, but I'm feed of up with the media and society. I'm feed up how they always mistreat single folks. They make being single as bad. Like we're not worth anything. At least being single you have more money to safe and spend. Another good thing about being single is you have more free time, no kids to watch over, less stress, and you can make your own rules.

The only negatives are you do get lonely sometimes, and you don't have much pickings when it comes to dating women. It doesn't help much that some women are way to picky and selfish.

Sure it gets a little lonely sometimes but if you keep busy and have a good support network of friends and family then it’s great. Thinking a dirt bike or nice vacation would cure any blues that start to appear. Plus you can be as messy or clean as you want. You can eat like a wolf and no one cares. You can come home and immediately get naked. You can eat in front of the tv and laugh at all the immature stuff you want. Think farts are funny, laugh it up! Nobody to impress when your single but yourself.

I agree with the Fry meme the most. It's not like I didn't spend my whole twenties looking for love and romance. I feel like part of me was ready back then. Although I also feel like I didn't have the mental stability and maturity to make it last the distance. I feel more stable and less depressed now at 34, then I did from 20 to 29.

Ideally, I'm ready to be with a woman and spend my life with her, even if my job means lots of traveling. However, I'd ONLY commit to a serious, loving, woman who's truly right for me. And given my height, looks, and body weight, I'm convinced that woman simply, literally, does not exist on this planet. So while I am not single by choice, I refuse to date a gold digger, cheater, abusive bitch, sex worker, single mom, lesbian, etc, who'd treat me bad and misuse me. 20 year old me might have been desperate enough to do such a thing, but I do feel more mature, now.

So ultimately, I'd rather be single, than "with the wrong person," even with those really powerful periods of loneliness. So I agree with you.

And I hate when GAG recommends this stuff to me super f*cking late!

You should probably just ignore media and actually focus on your life and what you define being single as. I mean anyone can say anything about anything but if you believe what you hear all the time, it will consume you and you'll stop living for you and live according to what some idiots who don't know you from dirt on the ground say your life is.

If you want to be single, f-----g be single. Do what you want, go where you want, see who you want or don't, but get out of the stereotypes and other people's depressing stories of what the dating world is b/c just like listening to the media, when you start believing all the rumors as facts, you miss out on people right in front of you that want to give you a chance.

I agree with you, it's better to save yourself from drama and lots of guys would be with someone if she was caring, happy and not demanding. It's true women are very picky and selfish and older women are jaded and have an agenda. That's the way the world is today, we just have to accept it.

Not much in the way of pickings? Au Contraire, you have more choices than at 20. I would not have dated a 30 year old woman when I was 20. Now I would. But in my 30's I could also date down to 22 or so. More availability.
