Wholesome and open relationships should be normalized. Why aren't they?

Wholesome in this context is: Considerate, sweet, compassionate, thoughtful, generous, and genuine.

I feel like in this day and age, toxic/highly se*ual relationships are more normalized. With the normalization of hookup culture and casual dating, some people may not have clear boundaries in their relationships. This can lead to unhealthy behavior, such as gaslighting, emotional manipulation, and abuse. I feel like this has become more normalized on TikTok, and other social media.

Personally, I am in a very open relationship. When one of us feels uncomfortable with anything, we can have that conversation and find a solution. We've never had an "argument" in the traditional sense. Only conversations. No yelling, or getting "heated." We are physically affectionate, as well as intimate, and are extremely comfortable and confident being with each other.

Why isn't this type of relationship normalized in society? Why are people surprised when I tell them that my relationship is... woah.. healthy? It's like that isn't even a word anymore.
