Sore throat after kissing a new person?

I just got in a new relationship and we been making out more than once. However, today I been developing a sore throat. It's not hard for me to talk, I can talk clearly, it's just my throats feel weird. I'm pretty sure it's because of "our exchange of bacteria through kissing" so I was wondering what can I do to help it go away? I'll be eating vitamin c chewables and probably drink hot liquids to ease my throat. Any other ideas?

my boyfriend says that, when he was younger, this happened to him any time he kissed a new person, but went away after ~2 days or so.

drink tea; honey is good for sore throats too. but, if it doesn't go away in a week, go see your doc. hopefully he didn't give you something nasty like strep throat.

Get checked at the doctor. You have no idea where your partner have been both sexually and anywhere else. If you never presented symptoms before other than that just now. That could be a sign of something.

With my last boyfriend, the same thing happened when I first started kissing him after awhile. I could go to a doctor tho, even tho my appt. in February lol
