Boyfriend asked to be left alone, how much space should I give him?

He seemed to be ignoring me all last week and it was really starting to hurt me and make me mad. Well just two days ago was the anniversary of his brother death which I forgot about and I was upset cause this week he was doing the same thing with ignoring me so I let my anger loose and we had a fight. He told me to leave him alone he didn't want to do this right now. Then he blocked my facebook messages and kik messages. I was mad said a few things like stupid thingsike wanting to break up which I didn't mean at all I was just super super mad and I apologized and told him I didn't mean any of that. He read the messages later that nigh but still nothing from him. I'm going out of town and I've tried to message him to let him know that but still nothing. Was that a bad idea or should I have just left him alone still? Or did I just ruin everything? :(
