Yes I would date a feminist. However like you said, they have to be sane and well grounded. The thing of it is, equality has to be equal, if you go beyond equal, then it becomes something else, something exclusive and that is not equal.
Agree. Although, people still. need to realise that men and women are built differently. Demanding we can walk around bare breasted just like the men can, means women would then also have to work lifting heavy as Shit stuff too. And I bet you 700 dollars those feminazis won't want to work as hard as men do with their bodies.
@TheDevilInside Fair enough. I guess what I was trying to indicate, is, lets say for example women want the right to vote (which they do), however lets say this scenario is before that time frame, so they request the right to vote, this right is then granted (which it should be), and then suddenly this right isn't enough and their vote now counts for twice or three times as much as a non-female vote (not saying this is the case). If something like this were to happen it stops being equality and then becomes something else altogether. I mean I can appreciate that being deprived of a basic right is bad, overcompensating the other way won't fix the wrongs of the past.
Yeah that is also what I meant. There are oppressed women in many parts of the world, whose California get cut off against their will, who often gets beaten by their husbands because the husbands have the right in their society to "discipline" them... I mean... These women don't even get the basic human right of being respected. And feminazis in western countries who are living comfortably already, are bored and have nothing to do so they look for some stupid thing like nipples to pseudo fight for. It's like fighting for your right to bring your homemade popcorn into the cinemas while starvation kills people in other parts of the world.
I would date someone who supports equal rights and respect for everyone, male or female, but I would NOT date a feminist because despite what they say, their actions show they do not support those values.

i wouldn't date someone that calls themselves a feminist
Yuh of course, I don't care for the label but there's a semi-clear difference between boys who sincerely *like* women vs ones who see us as beneath them.
Nothing wrong with a girl who wants to be treated equally... I don't believe that most people who identify as a feminist truly want equality though, just easier lives for themselves
I think I couldnt date a girl who is not a feminist. I call myself a feminist, too. there is still much work to do, untill men and women are equal. so yes, i would date a feminist, even more radical ones ;)
🤔 feminism is all about equal rights for men and women. So if you believe in that you are a feminist. I don’t see the big deal. I’d call myself a feminist I don’t hate men and I’d listen to your opinions. I just believe in being treated equal

I do believe in equal rights for men and women, so my answer would be yes considering that's what feminist means in this context.
If she was too radical, the type that says that "All men are rapists" and similar things, I'd probably have to say no.
Whether it's religion, a political stance or feminism, being a radical takes you nowhere and is really annoying.

Any girl who is a feminist is stupid. It just means they've never been made aware of their inherent inferiority. Put them in a war zone and I wonder what would happen? Suddenly, they can't preach feminism as they play on Facebook or some other equally retarded thing.
a feminist is literally someone who believes in equal rights between the two genders so i don't know wtf y'all mean when y'all say you wouldn't date one
@Scooby225 They think women are so much more oppressed so ALL efforts should be made to improve the lives of women. If you ask people what is more important in life... most will say happiness. If men have it so easy how come they make up 75% of suicidal deaths. How come 90% of homeless people are male. They can't answer that crap and don't care to.
@Scooby225 They hide behind their definition and use it as a defense mechanism... mean while most feminists are the complete opposite. Not to hate on OP... she is 14 after all (incoming... i know more than you XYZ).
It is actually closer to: Feminazi - saying that all men are rapist pigs. "Feminist" - lowkey saying that all men are rapist pigs by bringing up lies and non-issues such as manspreading, catcalling and saying how traumatized you are because you were "forced" to act feminine in your childhood to align with the patriarchal social norms all the while you are pretending that your movement somehow cares about male issues (lol) but not before you go teaching males that rape is bad and that they should help everyone but themselves because being a white cis male they are the only ones who have ever been granted any privileges.
Some people will tell you "If you believe in equal rights you're a feminist" but that's BS- you're a feminist if you choose to call yourself a feminist I think.
Here's the thing i don't understand about the "wage gap". The equal pay act of 1963 guarantees equal pay for equal work. If they are not making as much as their peers, they are able to complain and have a pay increase to earn as much as them
I didn't used to think that conservative guys were that bad till they voted trump in and identified with all of the lies their party was telling. Congrats on being moderate! :) I am too, and I feel like that's rare to not have such extreme views on one side or the other
@Salohcin22 Sorry to hear that! I do hope things work out in the end and (hopefully) Trump won't completely screw us over lol. It'll get better eventually.
This confuses me. You claim to be politically moderate but will not date somebody who is on the opposite side of the political spectrum? How is this moderate.
But fair enough, can't tell you who to date. At least you're honest
Because while I agree with some of the things conservatives say (socially and economically), I don't actually want to date someone who believes in limiting the rights of women, strong gender roles, etc. I also grew up with liberal parents, so I can't see myself living in anything other than an egalitarian relationship.
yeah, a lot of the extreme views, bigotry, and sexism have rooted themselves in the republican party. I can see why even though You're moderate you wouldn't want to date a really conservative guy. I would preferably want to only date moderate or logical girls as well honestly. Too far left or right, and you're either a man-hating snowflake or a god-fearing homophobic racist.
@Salohcin22 Yup, I would not blame a man for doing the opposite of me- avoiding the crazy socialist/extreme leftist women who seem to want to limit the rights of men. I don't get why conservative men are so butt-hurt at my distaste about them, though. Shouldn't they be happy that I want nothing to do with them, so they can focus on conservative minded women?
@ruthesand oh, I didn't see all the dislikes, wth. I'm the only guy that liked it? I don't know, maybe its the all conservative guys are generally assholes that a lot of people identified with. Maybe moderates that lean right consider themselves that? I consider myself Financially conservative, so that could be it. Or maybe GaG has a lot of conservative guys on here.
@rushthesand Oh, I've got it, maybe conservative guys mostly came to this question because liberal guys wouldn't care since it would be a yes. So they came to ponder whether they would date a feminist and they disliked the feminist that wouldn't date them.
I don't know, your guess is as good as mine at this point.
@rushthesand xD that's a good one. Were you the same person I explained MGTOW guys to earlier? that's hilarious by the way. I've talked to a few and they are polite, but very sexist. Maybe polite because I'm a guy, but it's so strange!
That being said, I think that anyone in a group of MRA, MGTOW, or Feminism and not egalitarianism has their gender bias still there. At least the ones that just identify with MRA or Feminism and don't do any advocacy are generally on the same page and impartial.
I guess. I still feel as though people should keep politics and relationships separate, but if that's a big issue to you I can understand why you wouldn't date someone who has opposite views.
I have met some conservative guys who are assholes-I've also met some liberal guys who are assholes.
Well if someone is anti-feminist, it goes beyond political. The relationship simply wouldn't work out. I can still probably work it out with a liberal/left-leaning man who claims he isn't a feminist; but it is a huge alarm for me if he's conservative and anti-feminist, especially a "traditionalist" type.
There's a difference between anti-feminist and not supporting feminism and not supporting feminism and being a conservative though, isn't there? What if he's conservative and doesn't support feminism?
@Salohcin22 If he's conservative and doesn't support feminism, I take an issue with that. I'm saying I might be more forgiving if he's not 100% a "feminist" but still left-leaning.
Anti-feminist and anti-MRA are probably egalitarian. Or they just hate labels. Alright with me!
"I'm not talking about radical men-hating feminists (who, let's be honest tend to be lesbian)" Wow, you must have some amazing powers to know the sexual preferences of an entire group based on nothing but what Rush Limbaugh says about them.
A. It was a dumb joke- no need to analyze it. B. I've never listened to rush Limbaugh. C. There's a lot of truth to that- kind of hard to be in a relationship with someone if you hate the gender of that person.

I'd easily turn feminist for Emma Watson

as long as she wasn't the militant "i am infallible and disagreeing with me=hate speech" type, i can't see it being an issue.
God no. If somebody can't tolerate disagreement, they shouldn't date me. And I shouldn't date them. Bad dynamic automatically.
Yes I would date a feminist. However like you said, they have to be sane and well grounded. The thing of it is, equality has to be equal, if you go beyond equal, then it becomes something else, something exclusive and that is not equal.

@TheDevilInside There is that. The beauty of our exchange is that we can agree on this subject from different sides of the fence ;-)
yep. It is doable.
Terrance Popp has the BEST RESPONSE to dating Feminists! To answer your question, NO!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwyUxZzSwDoyes so long as they have well thought out opinions, and do what any good girlfriend or boyfriend does, and doesn't try to force anything on me.
I don't know, the constant nitpicking could get annoying really fast :/
I mean occasional. Constant nitpicking is ridiculous.
I would date someone who supports equal rights and respect for everyone, male or female, but I would NOT date a feminist because despite what they say, their actions show they do not support those values.
i wouldn't date someone that calls themselves a feminist

Congrats, probably the dumbest comment I've seen on here
a feminist is literally someone who believes in equal rights between the two genders so i don't know wtf y'all mean when y'all say you wouldn't date one
Not the 3rd wave ones. You know what they mean... quit acting dumb.
@Jamesol1 equality can on be obtain by demonizing a single gender. And turning to other gender into victims by default. Feminisim
@Scooby225 They think women are so much more oppressed so ALL efforts should be made to improve the lives of women. If you ask people what is more important in life... most will say happiness. No I wouldn't and I don't differentiate between "radical" and regular feminism.
Both have the same stupid ideas, just the delivery is different.
Yeah, the delivery is different. Some scream "I hate men" into megaphones while some just vote supporting women's issues. Delivery matters.
It is actually closer to:
Feminazi - saying that all men are rapist pigs.
I don't know if I count as one of these? But I don't label myself a feminist at all. In fact, I shy away from the word.
Some people will tell you "If you believe in equal rights you're a feminist" but that's BS- you're a feminist if you choose to call yourself a feminist I think.
Here's the thing i don't understand about the "wage gap". The equal pay act of 1963 guarantees equal pay for equal work. If they are not making as much as their peers, they are able to complain and have a pay increase to earn as much as them
As a politically moderate feminist, I will only date a moderate/left leaning or liberal man. -shrug- Conservative guys are generally assholes.
Guilty as charged and proud of it. 🤠
@cth96190 Glad you do! Not sure about the down votes. Are you conservative guys really that butthurt?
I didn't used to think that conservative guys were that bad till they voted trump in and identified with all of the lies their party was telling. Congrats on being moderate! :) I am too, and I feel like that's rare to not have such extreme views on one side or the other
@Salohcin22 Tbh the extremists are the most vocal, but people are generally somewhere in the middle for the most part. At least that's what I hope...
same here, but after this last election and with all my republican extremist family posting fake facebook stories, I'm starting to lose hope :(
@Salohcin22 Sorry to hear that! I do hope things work out in the end and (hopefully) Trump won't completely screw us over lol. It'll get better eventually.
haha, yeah hopefully eventually

@Salohcin22 Lmfao, probably hurt their pride. Just like the MGTOWs who honestly think women are crying over them "going their own way"
@rushthesand
xD that's a good one. Were you the same person I explained MGTOW guys to earlier? that's hilarious by the way. I've talked to a few and they are polite, but very sexist. Maybe polite because I'm a guy, but it's so strange!
