Are you supposed to feel a spark when you kiss?

I've really liked this guy for a long time, and we planned to go out and I got all excited but I didn't talk to him for a couple of days and I feel like my attraction died in that period of time?
Anyways, we were walking and he suddenly just kissed me.
And it just felt like someone put their mouth on me, I didn't feel butterflies or ANYTHING. In fact, I felt taken aback and bored.
Is this a bad sign? He really likes kissing me so I assume he feels butterflies... but why don't I?
Or is butterflies just some Hollywood made up thing? Argh I don't know!

Not bad sign. Maybe it is to recognize if you prefer some setting for a sudden kiss to happen. An all out of blue kiss is nice to do, but being romantic, it is far from the thing which should trigger an overwhelmed flutter.
