Would a guy lie about his name? If so why?

Okay so this guy i been talking to since November, he says his name is Trey Davis. I believed it but recently i found it oddly strang that i can't find him on google. And EVERYONE is on google (well everyone i can ever think of, my family and even friends). I asked him about it once he got quiet in a suspicious way, kinda in a "oh snap she caught me" type of quiet. Then he said "so you what you tryna say" when all i said was "i think ita funnny how i can't find u on google nowhere"... Why would he lie about is his name.. If he is? I plan on asking him about it next time we talk.

I tried finding myself on Google. I couldn't finf myself. I've had people look me up and they dont find anything.
However, he may be hiding something. What? Maybe he doesn't like his actual name. Maybe he doesn't want you in his personal matters. Maybe he is withholding that info for a completely different reason.

No problem. Although if you can find yourself online, it's because you, yourself have social media accounts you actually use, other people post things with you in them or are about you. Things like that. News articles, music you've made, videos you created, etc. They're basically a footprint in the sand. Especially when you have your actual name with those things.

Ohh okay, you're right. Plus he told me he didn't have no social media's so I have no way in finding out if thatd his actual REAL name. But I will soon
