Are missing teeth a dealbreaker for you?

I'm missing both lateral incisors in my upper teeth - they simply never grew out. I'm attaching a picture I found on the internet (not my teeth) to give you some idea about how it looks, only I have braces on my teeth.

Imagine there are metal braces on top of the teeth.

Would that be a dealbreaker if someone with teeth like that asked you out? My orthodontist is trying to make enough space for implants, but it will take at least a year to get it all fixed. Until then, I'm stuck with what I have now. I don't want to miss out on another whole year of my dating life, but maybe it's too much - considering my poor luck with girls lately... so should I give up, give it a rest for a year and focus on other things in the meantime? Or is it not that big of a deal? Thank you for your honest opinion.

Yes, that would probably be a dealbreaker to be honest.

I like to make a lot of jokes and tease my friends a lot, and teasing my boyfriend was no exception, but he didn't tease back and I kept trying to get him to do so. When he finally did he turned to me and said "Girl, your tooth gap is the size of China!" and I died laughing, though he turned red and still apologizes a year later (though he teases the same amount as I now, so it worked out). My adult teeth grew in super small and there are gaps between all of the front teeth on the top, and I used to be self conscious but I don't care anymore. Plus, the dentist says it will give my wisdom (still coming in) room to grow and push them together.

It would be difficult to see past tbh, or at least without false ones, but not impossible. Personality matters more.
