Preface: I'm a bi guy and I'm closeted and I had never fallen for another man romantically, but for the past few months I've been totally in love with my roommate. Now, my roommate is either straight or he is in the closet, but most people think that he is in the closet. And he comes from a place where being LGBT is very frowned upon, so it would make sense if he was closeted, but he could also just be a very flamboyant straight guy. There have been a few things that he has done that I'm not sure if I should interpret it as him trying to play it off as him being straight or if he knows that I'm into him and he is trying to subtly let me know that he isn't interested. Or maybe I'm just reading too much into it. Some of the things that make me think that he might be LGBT is that he has only had one girlfriend in two years and very pretty girls are constantly hitting on him. And he's only ever mentioned one girl that he finds attractive, but he'll frequently comment on if a guy dresses well and if he looks physically fit.
So the first thing that he does (which I also do) is that whenever he goes into a crowded area that I'm in, he won't acknowledge me and will sometimes just walk past me. He will also do things like insult me by calling me ugly. And a lot of the times that I ask him if he wants to go somewhere together, he will say no about half the time, which if it was me I'd say yes 100% of the time. I also tried to sit next to him in class the other day and he said that I should sit one seat over so that one of his friends can sit there (but I know for a fact he doesn't like her like that). And one of his favorite things is to travel and today I asked him if he wanted to travel with me and my best friend (who is also good friends with him) and he said no. But I've also caught him looking at me multiple times in a short span of time when he thought I wasn't looking. And I've been avoiding him for the past few days and today he came up to me very excitedly to say hi
