Am I the only girl that thinks that guys always go with girls who are really dumb & wear so much make-up like there's no tomorrow? Its never the smart plain janes that get hit on always the dummie? Like is there something wrong with smart girls?

no there is nothing wrong with the smart girls its just that dumb ones make life easy especially to guys who just want a one night stand...And there are a lot of guys who are just not so good at chatting you up and if they tried and they failed, you will probably laugh at their face.

And there are shy men out there who want to say are there smart girls who are not so f*kin hard to talk to?

I love smart girls. I think of myself as a pretty intelligent guy, so finding someone who I can converse with on an equal level is extremely gratifying for me. Many guys feel intimidated by smart girls which just speaks to their own stupidity. Dumb girls tend to be easier thus guys tend to hit on them more because their chances of success are higher

I'm attracted to smart girls, but they can be intimidating.  Like they won't fall for your charm as easily.  I'm sure I flirt with them less often for that reason.  However, most of the girls I've actually had relationships with were smart.  Smart is very sexy, but it often takes the right setting to get to know them - like a shared activity rather than a bar or some social setting.

aaah good question, and just because a girl cakes on the make up doesn't mean they are dumb it  usually means they are very insecure or care far too much about what other people think of them at a glance, looks always catch the eye and the personality makes the person stick around. When most people first meet me they tend to assume I'm dumb simply because I wear high heels, dresses and in general look "pretty" and the funny thing is I'm always smarter then them.

Not true, I hold intelligence as a big factor in deeper connection, I'm a smart enough guy and when we talk, I don't won't to dumb myself down to often. I love a good mental spare. Also I find heavy makeup very unattractive. Less is more and If I know your wearing makeup, you have failed somewhere.

I think its just intimidation, and they're more reluctant to approach a smarter girl for various reasons..like rejection.

Especially younger guys you see this, the smarter ones promise a long-term relationship but the not so smart ones seem more short-term. When guys are younger their not ready to settle down or be totally comitted to a girl their for going for the dumb and easy ones. Smart girls will always rule over sluts. <3

Well I guess we can't impose on them every person is a unique individual so for me it depends to the person if they like dumb over the smart one but its better if smart one  because there's a sense when they talk lol and I always want to hve a partner which is great in conversation :)

It doesn't have as much to do with being smart or dumb, but more to do with how you present yourself. Smarter girls tend to be more shy and less confident with guys and appearance, because they worry more and dumber girls don't put that stress on themselves. Guys are attracted to confidence. I am as you put it "a smarter girl", however I carry myself with a lot of confidence and enjoy the way I look and I have more men then I care for haha.

Here's a twist on your question.  I like going to Hooters.  The first reaction of many women is that I want a dumb blond bimbo waiting on me.  Actually, I like a Hooters girl who is working there working her way through college.  I like to hear what she is studying, what she wants to do after graduation, her career goals, etc.  A smart, pretty girl is a definitely turn on and something that I appreciate.

Smart girls, because I'm biased.

I don't wear make-up, I'm an electrical engineering major, and I've been asked out 5 times so far this semester at university. But the thing is, I hang out with intelligent guys. I only get asked out after I hang out with the guy at least once (Generally because of school projects or hanging out with groups of other friends.)

My problem is I don't give off the "taken" vibe and my boyfriend hangs in different circles so no one realizes we're dating.

Smart girls are more likely to resist their role as a wife.

Rather work late than come home and take care of kids and husband, leaving husband to pick up the slack.

Don't take care of their domain in the house.

So, we look for someone who will bring stability into the household.

Oh, by smart I mean IQ not education. 2 different things.

For me, IQ of around 115 is OK. Smart people are Mensa level which is about 132+.

nothing wrong with smart girls but that's not even initial criteria.  Its how good you look because obviously that's going to be the first reason why a guy gets interested in a girl.  Guys don't see signs on girls' foreheads that say smart or dumb and a guy isn't going to be turned off when they figure out you're smart.  If anything its a big plus unless they're just trying to get laid because then they will realize you're not easy game.

the smart plain janes? you can be smart and attractive. its easier for guys to get the girls that are dumb because they are stupid and will pretty much do anything. smart girls can handle themselves and won't let a guy manipulate them into doing anything. so if a guy wants some action (like just wants to hook up or something) he'll go for the easy girls but smart girls are better for more serious relationships.

It's less to do with intelligence and more to do with the fact that they're ugly. Men need a certain amount of alcohol to want to have sex with nasty or fat women. Plain looking is another thing entirely. Also, at least 50% of younger men have incredibly low standards in terms of the women they will have sex with.

A woman between 18 and 25 that isn't hideous or fat can probably easily get laid even without going to a club or a bar. All of my friends that are males, except for one will regularly cheat on his girlfriends and sleep with different women. The converse to this is that 70-80% of women this age end up sleeping with or wanting to sleep with 5% or so of the guys.

Once these women start to lose their sexual appeal to men, they are forced to settle. Often times the neglected nerds or nice guys will be more than happy to take the reformed sluts. I, however, will not. I demand a virgin woman, or at most a woman that has been with 1 man.

I like a girl with a brain; it's so sexy to know a woman has an opinion. Personally, not to be mean, but I like a girl that puts effort into making herself look good WHILE having a brain.

Some girls may think that being smart can compensate for not putting in effort to look attractive. As long as you don't fall into this category, Ms. QA, I have no complaints.
