Why are my ex’s friends asking me questions about my dating life?

Me: *tries to dodge question and change topic*
Ex’s friend: *goes back to topic of my love life* So does that mean you have a girlfriend?
Me: Yes.
Ex’s friend: How long have you been together?
Me: We’ve been talking since October
Ex’s friend: *continues to ask a lot of questions about my girlfriend and tries to find her on IG to see what she looks like*

What the hell is the point? I never talk or ask about my ex around mutual friends and I don’t concern myself with who she’s seeing or having sexual with. I’ve blocked my ex on IG and her phone number and quite honestly, I’m tempted to do the same with her friends. Why are her friends concerned about my dating life?

Backstory: My ex and I used to work together. We dated until I found out that she had a long-term boyfriend. I ended things with her and she decided to flaunt her long-term boyfriend in my face. I blocked her number and social media and stopped talking to her. My ex’s friend decided to confront me about why I’m not talking to her and how my ex is butt hurt that I’m not talking to her. My ex keep trying to get my attention at work despite me ignoring her.

There is a very easy way to stop this, it's being done to find out how you are.

It's very likely that she isn't happy as she is and thinks that if she were with you she'd be happier, sadly for you that means she will probably go back to cheating on her boyfriend or she will be with you for a while and then start cheating on you.

Now to deal with the friend then, you state the following

I don't care about her, I won't talk about those things with you because I know that you will go back and tell her, you are as bad as she is, knowing she was cheating on her boyfriend and then had the Gaul to claim that I was wrong. If you're going to carry on asking then you will need to stop talking to me altogether.

Let me make this clear to the two of you, under no circumstances would there ever be a chance on this earth where the two of us would get back together, I have zero respect for her and zero trust, she is a slut as far as I'm concerned nothi more than a walking fleshlight and not the kind of person I'd ever consider for a relationship. The only difference between her and a prostitute is that they have the decency to agree a payment.

Now you can go back and tell her that if you want but if you ever ask those questions again just know that you and will immediately stop talking.

Why would you get into a a conversation with ex's friend. Just tell them to mind there own business (i assume you're not friends with this person).

they’re all acting as messengers for your ex. she’s asked them to ask you all this so she knows more about your personal relationship life etc etc. that’s toxic. she needs to move on and give you space, especially if you’re happy with your newer girl. there’s evidently still part of you she’s hung up about though

Women do this all the time sadly. I am willing to bet she is asking you these questions so she can run back and feed your ex all the new info. My advice to you would be to block of all of her friends as well because it will continue until you put an end to it. Best of luck!

Probably because you left her. When women get dumped, they instantly start thinking they were dumped because you found someone better. So she probably wants to know who your girlfriend is and what she looks like so that she can judge for herself whether you upgraded or downgraded. Just be careful. I know a lot of women who become extremely jealous and territorial over someone and deliberately cause problems. If she is that type of person and she does find out who your girlfriend is, she will probably message her and start shit. My boyfriends ex-boyfriend did this to me because she had a weird territorial obsession with him. He never even slept with her. But she was literally obsessed and she found my number, my facebook, and where I lived. She would send texts and facebook messages and even left my boyfriend a note in our mailbox trying to get us to split up. I was smart enough to do my research before jumping to conclusions but let me tell you what, if I had been naive or easily manipulated (which sadly a lot of people are) I would have instantly thought he was cheating on me and believed everything she said and she would have won. Hopefully this isn't the case with you but be on high alert just in case!

But yeah, some girls feel like they need that validation I guess but she honestly needs to just move the fuck on, which she will eventually.
