Ok reality check. The whole confidence thing is a pile of shite we tell guys whole got nothing real to offer. It's right up there with telling poor people who can barely feed themselves that money isn't everything or their rich in other ways. But do you see girls throwing themselves at destitutes? If your competent then others have confidence in you. You wouldn't think much of a guy who was full of confidence about his driving ability if he only had a few lessons. But neither would I rank a guy who's been driving for years but is scared of going over 25mph.

I think that confidence is very important, and it's the one thing many men lack. But Poppy is not wrong to say that confidence alone isn't enough.

Normally, confidence comes up when a guy says, "I have a good job, my own place, a decent car, and I'm well-groomed, but girls don't seem interested." Confidence is the missing ingredient for those guys.

But if you live in your parents' basement with no job playing video games all day, confidence certainly won't be a magic solution to your "girl problem."
