I work a side job at Chick-fil-A and everyone is so mean there. I want to spend time with the guy I like. Is it a turn off if a girl calls in sick to spend more time with you? P. S. this does not mean I’m a bum. I work over forty hours every week

it depends on her job.. If she is a doctor or surgeon or a cop or scientist or lawyer or judge... Than no.. These are essential service providers of society.. They can mess around like that.. Society is counting on them..

But if it's Chick-fil-A and if you are not the manager or the cook..
Than it's okay..

As long as you are on a replaceable position.. An excuse is not bad..

Although even if you are an essential service provider.. Like a doctor and someone is covering your shift..

I am torn on this one. I want people in general to take their work seriously and appreciate that they have a job, even if a menial one. I mean, you don't know how lucky you are. But, taking an occasional day off to just enjoy a day isn't a bad thing either. As long as it's not a habit I got no problem with it.

It's not a total turn off but if a girl did that regularly, I would assume that it was some evidence of the degree of loyalty she was capable of demonstrating.

Depends on the dude and the girl's personality. I wouldn't be turned off by it, likely I'd be turned on, but I suppose it depends the context of the situation, once in a while is fine, but all the time will cause problems and tends to make things obvious...

Not a turn off but would make me wonder about work ethics and future with her, if she'd be responsible down the road if we got married.

It also depends how often, if it was a one time thing, I'd be very pleased she thought that much of me, but if was too often, say a couple times a month, I'd get worried.

They have people scheduled to work at all open hours. When somebody calls in sick it puts a strain on the rest. If you are not really sick, that is not a good thing to do.
