Why do men say that they hate gold diggers?

I see a lot of men on here who say they hate gold diggers YET, they don't mind dating a lazy unemployed woman. They don't care if a woman has an education or career. They say that women should date them because they are financially stable. Or that he can take care of his girlfriend and buy her things. He prefers to date / marry women that make less money than him.

Lets be honest, how is this not a recipe set up for finding a "gold digger"?

A woman without a career, has NOTHING to bring to the table, as a wife. A wife is a partner to raise kids with, not another liability.
