Great picture of Don Johnson , ohh those were the days :) Seriously I despise smoking , but now I reckon I've answered your question incorrectly , because you say " Date " , but they are never going to give up. Id " Date " for sure , Id be reluctant long term , because it does say something about the person , but short term it could be okey.
I did have a German girl ( so many smoke there ) and I really liked her , the smoking I put up with , the situation could not have continued anyhow , due to location.

Also on my mind , I have a mate , now very close to death , could be any day , any week , all started because of cigarettes , lung cancer which rapidly spread and he is now riddled , he would want no sympathy , as he knows who did it , but this recent evolution has really enhanced my negative view. Kills so many , Covid could only dream of.

Its really an horrendous habit , even if it is a pretty girl. Sad.

Not likely. Pretty close to a hard no.
I smoked a pack a day for 10 years and quit many years ago and one thing that smokers don't realize is how bad they stink to non-smokers. It's like this: Would you date a person who had such bad body odor that just being around them would permeate your clothing so bad that if you undressed at night and left those clothes anywhere, they would make the entire room smell like BO? I know you smokers don't believe it, but yes, it's really like that.

never. it is a complete turn off. i don't want lung cancer from your nasty second hand smoke. i don't want a father for my children that will be a bad role model and intoxicate their lungs with all that smoke. smoking is never cool. it is disgusting. a smoker's lungs are black, while a healthy person's lungs are pink. also, when i marry a man, i want him to stick around for a long time. "till death do us part." unfortunately, with smokers, the "death do us part" bit may come much too soon, and that is not what i want. i would not want a guy to have health problems related to smoking. just like people would not want to settle for an obese person, i would not settle for a smoker or person who does drugs or drinks a lot.

This is funny because before I met my boyfriend I used to say I will never date a smoker and he did start to quit a few times (not because of me though) and now he just smokes normally. I do find it disgusting but it’s not going to change my opinion of him

Smoking is a dealbreaker for me. I don't want to kiss someone who smells like an ashtray and I don't want to be exposed to second hand smoke. Not my cup of tea. Smoking is so so bad for you because it hurts your lungs and you can lose your voice. It's even worse than drinking but drinking can also be bad if it's done excessively

Absolutely not! Smoking is disgusting besides being unhealthy. I don't want to kiss an ashtray and being near someone who smells. Plus I have asthma so being with a smoker would be a terrible idea!

Never quit? Probably not. Then again, dating smokers of any sort was always a hard no from me and my boyfriend smokes weed + cigarettes (quitting the latter) so.. never say never. 🤦🏼‍♀️

NO! Not anymore. Kissing a woman who smokes is just gross. Smells like a wet ashtray. I will never forget that morning driving home from this womans house who was a smoker. I smelled that smokey tobacco odor all over me. I Couldn't wait to get home and take a shower.
Apart from that we would be too different. I am very much into health and fitness. Smoking is the opposite of that.

I don't worry about stuff like that. It's their choice. I have never had issues with smoking or smokers, even when I quit it didn't bother me. I wouldn't dismiss a person over a bad habit. I would prefer smoking over a cheese burger and potato chip addiction.

For the most part the ones on here who seem like they would date a smoker are a smoker themselves.
Smoking to me is discusting be it: cigarettes, roll your own cigarettes, cigars, pipes, e-cigs, hookahs, vape pens. Doing chewing tobacco is also disgusting. Even weed to me is disgusting. I have smelled many different strains of weed and all have made me at least nauseous if not vomit.
All of that are deal breakers.

I dont care, I'd encourage them to quit, and help if they wanted to, but that's their decision. Obviously we'd have rules about where they can smoke and things like that, but it's really a non-issue for me

Depends how often they smoke, if it’s only max 1 a day of not that often or around me sure and if their lifestyle is otherwise ‘healthy’ but I hate the smell personally

I don't judge people by their vices. But it's definitely something that removes some appeal so for me to date her she will have to be very much my type so I overlook that detail.
