I would be very hesitant getting with a woman who lacks empathy. Women are generally empathetic towards others. Not sure how my future would look like with a woman who has no empathy. I wouldn't want my kids to have to deal with that and I want to spare myself the headache to deal with one who will come with demands and expectations while not knowing how it is to be the one who has to realize them.

Yeah it is not a good thing. To be emphatic it makes such a difference it means that the person is kind and can put themselves in some one else’s shoes.. if someone lacks empathy it’s so hard to go out with them it really is.. they don’t understand how you feel in the relationship and they don’t really care about how you feel because they can’t emphasise.
They are more self centred and put themselves and their own needs first. it kind of makes the relationship more about them and not about the couple as a team.. very hard as it’s such an important quality to have

I think it honestly depends on the relationship. If they both lack empathy then it could just be a mutual understanding. If one has it and the other doesn't then it needs a bit more care.

A lot of things people get upset over are just irrational so for those things I cannot empathise. Although I can understand people's feelings where there are actual problems in play, I have no idea how to comfort someone because I don't see the point in telling someone "everything's going to be fine" when I am fully aware that it may not be alright.

Not necessarily. I am autistic so empathy has been more academic for me rather than instinctive, I had to learn empathy like I did math or chemistry

Empathy is very important to me. I also use it every day with work. If you cannot relate or try to yourself in someone else’s shoes on some way. We will never work.

When my dad died it took the guy I was with 5 days to see me. It ended us. He had no empathy at all over the situation and it broke us.
