Why are women insecure about confessing their feelings/love to a man and always wait for men to confess first?

I see some women do, but most wait for the man to take the first step. I think there must be many reasons to this as this has been followed for ages

I think it’s just bcs of the outdated societal norm for the man to make the first move. I confessed my feelings to this guy I’m seeing first, but I will wait for him to be the one making it “official”

I like to wait because i get scared that i am going to fast and that he might lose interest although i know it's stupid and i worry wayyy to much and sometimes i hate myself for it!!

most women are spoiled and they dont want to take a chance and get hurt like guys do. They pay the price by staying alone longer than pretty girlas
